tOfficial Saints Seahawks Prediction Thread

Offense:
Saints- Solid passing game with the consistency of Drew Brees and Jimmy Graham. If Colston and Moore can perform, the passing game can be deadly. Run game can be inconsistent, but Ingram sure looked good last week at the Eagles.
Seahawks- consistent running game with Marshawn who can always be counted on to have a big performance. Russell Wilson has below average receivers but still finds ways to make plays. The Seahawks have not been the most explosive offense in the NFL however, as they have relied some on their top caliber defense.
Advantage- Saints
Defense- Saints- The Saints defense looked pretty strong against the Eagles and Rob Ryan has done a great job turning the worst defense in the NFL into one of the better ones. They stopped Lesean McCoy, one of the best backs in the NFL, but will be faced with a challenge with Marshawn Lynch.
Seahawks- the Seahawks have the most physical, athletic defense in the NFL. With playmakers like Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas, they are always a threat to force turnovers. And even with the loss of Brandon Browner, younger Seahawks like Byron Maxwell have stepped up and succeeded as backups. It' ll be difficult for the Saints offense to deal with the Seahawks D, especially with the crowd in Seattle.
Advantage- Seahawks
Final Prediction: Saints 23 Seahawks 30
Drew Brees and the Saints offense have a solid game but crucial turnovers forced by the Seahawks defense lead to a Hawks victory. Seahawks struggle at first to move the ball as the Saints defense focuses on stopping Marshawn. However, Russell Wilson begins to exploit the Saints secondary on play and opens up the running game more for Marshawn.

I hate to pick against us anytime but this is going to be, yet again, the toughest game we play all year
28-23 Seahawks

Saints 20
Sea 17
I think our D plays great, and our O will do just enough to win. I mainly base this on my belief (hope?) that Sea shows up overconfident to this one. I do believe they are better than us overall, but not so much to overcome overconfidence. Plus their O has been less stellar the final few weeks of the reg season.
As long as Drew can not turn ball over (asking a lot, I know), we should be fine
ETA: this entire prediction is crap is Armstead gets pwnd all game. I do believe he will hold is own though

Bad match ups all the way around for our O. Inexperienced LT vs. top notch pass rush and a physical defensive backfield against a WR core who struggles to get separation.
On D dealing with a strong running game, a mobile QB, & whoever Roman Harper is covering being wide arse open for most of the game (or him falling down even when in position) doesn't bode well for us.
Add in crowd noise, weather, and the team's road woes equals another bad loss. Heart says Saints 17-13 Saints, but mind says 31-13 Seattle.
Going with 24-21 Saints because f!#k the Seahawks, that's why.

All I know is Saints win. Road teams are in this year.
Saints, 49ers, Chargers, and Indy all win on the road this week.

Cmon yall have some faith here
Yeah its gonna be the toughest game of the season in the toughest venue in the NFL but...why not us?
Defense has been stout the last couple games and if we can run it like we did last week to set up PA to Jimmy we can definetly pull this off. Shayne Graham hits another game winner for us
20-17

Saints sign Vince Young this week and have him lead the team out onto the field with a Bring the Wood II bat.
Saints win 45-10.

I'm thinking both defenses show up and its lower scoring than most anticipate. The Saints continue the trend of running the ball, and while not as successful as in Philly, its enough to keep the Seathugs honest and it keeps the Saints Defense rested.
Comes down to the last drive, but....

I know the Saints can beat anyone. But I will be watching this game with the idea it's the last Saints game I see this season.

31-28 Saints, in an awfully familiar last minute overtime field goal victory

what's happened to you?

I can see this being an overtime game. Hawks get the ball first, drive it just past midfield, and end up with a 4th and 5. Pete decides to go for it instead of trying to pin us deep in our own territory. Harper comes on the delayed blitz and gets the sack fumble. We recover at their 40. Next play, PA pass to Lance on a crossing route and he takes it to the house.
We win by 6.
