You say that like its a bad thing... the ultimate goal is to get to the NFL and get paid for these kids.

Exactly RAT...

I say it like I think a pro-style offense better prepares kids for more immediate success in the NFL. Just like Gruden said yesterday. OBJ & JL are probably better prepared than most. They are in a pro system running NFL patterns. They also had a better year than anyone on A&M.

Yes, Speedy will have success wherever he goes. I am not an 18 yr. old kid and think a pro-style offense would better prepare a kid for the NFL.

At the end of the day, you can sit back, and accept what us going to happen, and not be upset..or ignore the obvious signs and meltdown when it happens

Yeah... Sumlin doesnt have TAMU running "nfl routes". Doesnt matter what system youre in. A post pattern is a post pattern, a slant is a slant, etc.

Juice - 77 catches 1193 yards and 10 TDs
OBJ - 59 catches for 1152 yards and 8 TDs
Mike Evans - 69 catches for 1394 yards and 12 TDs and a Biletnikoff award finalist. 1st round pick.

I agree we run a more traditional pro style offense. We are way more balanced than TAMU is. But its not like TAMU is running some gimmick offense that doesnt use anything that players will be doing in the NFL...

Exposure and production > what kind of system you play in. NFL doesnt care what kind of system you came from, they care if you can play. Period. Hell a lot of the best WRs in the NFL didnt play in a traditional NFL style offense in college. And they are tearing it up in the NFL.

aTm couldn't finish higher than 3rd in the west with JFF... There is no reason to think they'll do any better without him. I guess these kids put a higher priority on putting up stats than competing for championships.
Where did LSU finish?

Why do you folks all of a sudden think that Speedy went
was not all of a sudden, been TAMU lean (very slight lean IMO) for a while.

Which "insider" do you guys
1 or 2 people who know him have posted here he loves TAMU's offense. I think he really likes Sumlin. He has said his role will be the deciding factor in his choice. Never raved about LSU at all.

Combine that with the "smoke" coming from the media, as they are there with him in St. Petersburg, and it paints a picture.

We signed 4 last year. TAMU signed 6 (maybe 7, 1 ATH don't know where he will line up). They have 2 committed this year, not counting Speedy of course.

People also ignore that former teammate Noel Ellis is at A&M.

Lots of Louisiana natives on A&M roster.

Unfortunately, I got some info last night and Speedy is aTm bound...This sucks because I really wanted him. Nothing we can do about it. 4/5 is still good though guys. Don't let this one affect your mood because we are still getting some other big time prospects.

What happened with Speedy will be revealed in due time.

Dude we know. He's all a&m. Congrats.

Why was Ricky Seals-Jones such a non factor this season?

Dear Speedy, I think you can do better than 3 receptions for 80 yards and 1 TD in your freshman season!!

Dude... Ricky Seals - Jones was injured in his 1st game vs Rice...Had knee surgery and was redshirted. Those stats, 3 for 80 yards and a TD, were from 1 game where he ended up getting hurt.

the dad is the crazy/retarded one, and he hates LSU. It was his dad that was going off on Quinn (I think) about being overrated etc. Dad was mad Jr didn't get a LSU offer.

Jr is nothing like that.

And yeah, as far as social media Ellis is one of the few Speedy stays in regular contact with. They are pretty tight too based on Karr people.

Ellis really balled out this year over Rashad and White!

Don't bring emotion into decision making.......that's what my dad said.

Dude, has nothing to do with Ellis' performance.... or Manziels.... or Evans (which the TAMU guys go on and on about)

Ellis is his friend and former teammate. For a kid going off to college that's big. Especially if going away from home. It makes it easier to pull Speedy away from the other NOLA kids.

so you're telling me a 17-18 yr old kid isn't going to bring emotion into his decision? To say the least, I say you're off track here.
