Way to early for that! 1 or 2 more MNC's and 3 - 5 more SEC Championships required

LSU has won 11 SEC titles in history. Miles has 2. You people think its easy to win the SEC.

Not for a long time, maybe not ever.

I like Les Miles, but he'd have to stay a lot longer and win more titles before that could possibly happen.
The field might not be the best place for his name anyway. I'd prefer a building or a short thruway on or near campus, or a wing of an existing building. Maybe the 'Miles Suites in the South Upper.'

The MulliGumpNecks put up a STATUE of a coach who had coached 37 games. That's hilariously embarrassing.

At LSU, we should never name the field/stadium after anyone.

So I take it you're not a fan of the PMAC?

I assumed it was clear, since the topic was about TIGER STADIUM...but we should never name THAT STADIUM after anyone.

Better?

I would be more in favor of a statue, but not just yet. If he stays another 10 years then build a statue immediately upon his retirement. However I think the gumps built one of Saban to help recruiting so I think it would be a good idea to build one of Miles to help recruiting also.

No. It's just "Tiger Stadium." No coaches, no alumni, no corporate sponsors.

I would wonder how much Les donated to TAF.

I would be pissed. I like that Tiger Stadium isn't named after anyone.

Surprised. I like Les but no way I feel this should happen. I don't like the idea of coaches statues either. Players (i.e Shaq) yes. Coaches no. Maybe something in the ring of honor where player's name & retired numbers are.

Let's wait until he retires and not be like the Gumps, building a statue for a guy who was *at least* thinking about hitting the road a month ago.

Les will definitely have earned it by then. Hell, if he retires next month there is at least an argument for it.

At least one more BCS national Championship, but probably 2, I couldn't fight it.

For some reason, I'll blame it on age, I read it as "a field/stadium" and not "the field stadium". FWIW I agree with you about Tiger Stadium. The assembly center has never had the tradition that Tiger Stadium has.

What the hell is wrong with TIGER STADIUM. if they changed it to any coach, I would puke!
