Crutch wasn't even coaching there when LF started high school, David Johnson was.

and this is a TERRIBLE post… 3 Bama guys drafted HIGHER (more $$$) than our 3… if anything, it would actually be a selling point for Bama….

Yeah, while i still think he picks LSU, I really wouldn't use that as a selling point for LSU.

Those guys you pointed out for Bama consist of:

2 Heisman finalist
1 Heisman winner
2 first round picks
1 early second round pick and potential NFL ROY

It's not that surprising when the #1 RB in the nation coming out of H.S. gets drafted in the 1st round out of college...and neither the University or the coach really has much to do with it...he either has the ability by that time or he doesn't! But you have got to give Saban his dues...he could sell on my Used Car lot any day...or in my snake oil shop, for that matter! The sob can recruit!

The college coaches can correctly point out that a) that doesn't mean they have to give the money back and b) how you do in the pros is on you and your pro team, our job is to get you there.

100% truth. If Fournette went to Tulane he could be a first round pick. If you don't think so, check the first pick of the 2013 draft.

Exactly, HTown...this is why recruiting is so critical and the coaches know it. I'll never forget when Jerry D. kicked Saban's arse all over Independent Stadium that year in Shreveport. He realized how fertile Louisiana is for talented athletes. He told his agent right then to somehow get him out of Michigan and down to Bayou country...I'm not the first to report this...it's well known...and most honest coaches will admit that the talent makes the coaches, not the other way round. Of course, some coaching up is required and helpful, but without nature, nurture will not get the job done. It's a fact of life!

Hire Crutch for a couple years just to get LF. Dirty tactic but you know Bama would do it if they knew LF would come with him.

Chadwick Germany is still waiting for his call from Saban

How they do in the pros goes to how well they were coached and prepared for the pros . Alabama prepares their guys for college . They blow after college . It's like teaching 5yo's to win a tee ball game . It's easy to teach to beat a team , it's not easy to prepare for the future .

I have said it before. I think we do land LF but people here are not going to appreciate how close he came to taking his talents elsewhere.

I think the percentage for LF may be lower because in the NOLA article someone posted it had something about him saying he could play LB.

If that is the case then RB depth at either school wouldn;'t be a big deal and we all know about Saban and his jack LB

as long as he picks LSU, who cares "how close he was to going somewhere else"? Its not like the coaches have stopped recruiting him. They know, that's all that matters.
