this f****** C position - AD and ryno aren't a good fit

Ryno is a good fit for dwight howard or a 26+ year old anthony davis. Aminu and his guy are under the basket while the bigger ryno is on the perimeter. Why not have an actual big dude play under rhe basket like common sense would tell you to do and have a smaller, better handler shooting 3s at the 3 position?
Deandre Jordan went off for 20 ebounds and shot 6/6. AD was just blocked by deandre jordan on my TV. If you need any indication what a true C can do for a PF/C, look at the trailblazers. As long as ryno is on the team, AD is going to be facing up against thr biggest defensive post man on the opposing team.
The paint is the place where games are won. JJ hickson, jermaine o'neal, the list goes on. frick THIS. Ship ryno off for a good haul and let aminu be the backup PF

nah, shipping ryno isn't the fix. we have $hit tun$ invested in guards. fix that shite first and pay for a big. ryno is very valuable coming off the pine.

Eric Gordon and his 14 million a year are what need to be reapportioned. Not ryno

yea totally lets ship out our second best big on our team, and arguably the best 3 point shooter in the league

And get good value in return, which you can't do with EG. frick 3 pointers, they're not worth it. Ryno will always demand big minutes at PF here and push AD to play C.
Give me an extra block , contested shots, unwielding post position, secured rebounds, a big nasty frontcourt, and no gaping holes every game while having a Jared dudley or gordon hayward shoot a couple less 3s per game. This just isn't a good fit. Sign the dude again in 3 years, when AD is capable of manning the paint. Play AFA at 4 for the 15 minutes per game AD isn't there, that's when he's at his best. Smith will still provide some stretch off the bench.
Unless tyreke starts hitting 70% of paint shots while andrrson is out there, it ain't doing much for us. Gordon and jrur haven't seem to have benefited. It might have given the brow a couple of extra alleyoops per game, but that's not something that has always worked and definitely hasnt worked in late game situations. Ask chuck barkley, you don't want your big men falling in love with the 3 point shot, especially when your other big is a skinny 6'10 20 year old.

Let's see who @NBA believes led the clippers to victory.
We won't do anything n the playoffs with this frontcourt.
"On last fake trade tweet: Detroit gets Eric Gordon, Ryan Anderson + Jeff Withey; N.O. gets Greg Monroe + the Villanueva/Stuckey expirings."
— Bill Simmons (@BillSimmons)November 16, 2013
Pels next year roster: jrue with da midrange game, 3 point shooti g SG, gordon hayward, and da brow and monroe assisting to each other and working the paint with reke playing big minutes with smiht off the bench.

Blake (21-10-5) & DeAndre (14& 20, 5blk) lead @LAClippers past Pelicans, 108-95. Tyreke had a trip-dub w/ 11-13-10. AD w/ 24 & 12 in return.

i agree with your point but ryno is a shitshow in my eyes as far as bigs go. at least coached by montae willy on this team. i love him but as long as he occupies major big minutes, we'll be an office can fire!

We need to add to ryno. Not trade him away. Then we just have another set of problems, we'd be a much shittier version of last years grizzlies teams. Trying to win every game 85-83

with morrow being a 3pt shooter, i'ld be fine with shipping ryno back to the east for monroe. if Alexis Ajinca is signed and kept, we would be a damned good team with him rotating with AD and greg. frick all that sf hoopla that constantly flows through here. bigs and guards

The overreaction is stupid but Ryan Anderson is not the best 3 point shooter in the league. Don't think it's arguable either.

It's wrong to think that any decent 3 point shooter can replace Anderson. There is a lot more to 3 point shooting than 3 point percentage. What Anderson does that makes him unique and elite, is he can manufacture 3 point shots. His combination of height and quick release means you don't have to work very hard to get him an open look. Morrow needs to have plays run where the defense forgets about him, Anderson just needs the defense to look away for a split second. That's a huge difference. Comparing Anderson and Morrow is like comparing Jimmy Graham and Lance Moore. Yeah Lance Moore can get open, make catches and score, but the defense isn't going to change its scheme for him.
I'm all for beefing up the front court, but as others have said the goal should be to use Gordon to find an upgrade for Smith, not Anderson.

i love greg monroe but he and davis aren't going to really protect the rim. that won't fix everything
even if we got stuckey as our bench scorer (and he's awesome in that role this year), we still need distance shooting

i had warmed up to trading ryno for asik but after seeing the cluster frick that was our offense without ryno, i will admit that was wrong. as long as monty is our coach, we need ryno on offense

Gordon is the one we need to trade. I can't have a passive scorer making 14 mil.

agree wholeheartedly

I also agree, but when I see ryno, I don't see a 40%+ career 3 point shooter like kyle korver and gordon hayward and I see averages of .6 steals per game and .4 blocks pee game. I see a guy without lateral quickness or explosion oe length. I see a guy just averaging low 50s in true shooting percentage. He's a valuable piece, but I have wet dreams at night thinking about an elite frontcourt that davis could anchor defensively and someone like monroe could anchor offensively. I think it'd collapse the floor and create more 3 opportunities by itself.

A hint to live by when following the NBA: If your reasoning for wanting to ship a piece of the core off is based of one fricking game, chill the frick out. Especially when said core is all 25 and under.
Ryno and AD give up some size but get rid of Ryno and watch how Jrue (and everyone else) settles for long 2's because the paint is clogged.

Jrue and EG are already well below average on paint fg% and monroe would greatly raise paint fg= and shots made there by himself.

The problem I have with Monroe is how does he pair with AD defensively? I can see how the offense gets better, but fully healthy this team is already a top 10 offense.
