Brandon Browner suspended indefinitely

My guess is that he gets a lawyer and fights this. The clock is now ticking on his year suspension.
For those that missed it, he got suspended for a full year violating the league's substance abuse policy. Turns out it was his first failed test while in the NFL. He entered the NFL at stage 1 of the drug testing policy voluntarily because teams had questions about him. He hoped that would give teams more faith in him. He went to Denver, got cut, and ended up in the CFL for a few years. While he was in the CFL, the NFL is saying that he should have still done the NFL drug tests and said that since he missed them, he got put to stage 3. He signed with the Seahawks out of the CFL and was stage 3 without knowing it. Well, first failed test in his NFL career landed him a year suspension.

Who?
Pro Bowl CB. I honestly think that Byron Maxwell has been playing better than Browner though as his replacement. 3 INTs in his last 2 games starting.

Hasn't Seattle played without him for quite a few games this year?
They'll be fine. That secondary is loaded.

Yes. He hasn't played since week 10 against Atlanta.
Browner's agent just sent out this tweet

As the great Revolutionary war Admiral J.P. Jones said when refusing to surrender to the British “I have not yet begun to fight” @bbrowner27
Safe to say that he's going to lawyer up.

i remember him back to his OSU days. he was slow as shite and that was his problem, but he's magically explosive now
he was an intimidating force though...a beast on NCAA that year with sabby IIRC

The Seahawks DB suspensions make me a little wary of Sherman's meteoric rise to superstardom. Multiple Seattle DBs with suspensions for SA and in the midst of this a 5th round pick is the best DB in the NFL? Just a little odd.

Browner and Thurmond got suspended for smoking weed

I would imagine he received plenty of documentation explaining every step of the process and he CHOSE to ignore them.

The NFL is saying that they sent him documentation. Browner is saying that he didn't have a place to live after he got cut and was hopping around different houses. He claims that the documentation was being sent to an old girlfriend of his and he never saw it.

Seattle will be fine. I'm not worried.

Do we know what the substance was?

I agree. Maxwell has been a stud and will be the starting CB for next year as well.

The rumors were that it was weed.
