It was blocked knucklehead. That's why it took a left turn. He kicked it too low.

Every kick Hartley makes takes a left turn. It was a shank worse than he usually shanks them.

go watch it in slow mo. the rotation of the ball is up and down, than once it passes Langfords hand it goes side to side.

Doesn't fricking matter. Hartley kicked both FGs too low.

Langford- 10'3 is about as high Hartley needs to get his kick
Brockers- 10'1 is about as high Hartley needed to get his kick.

so he would have to have gotten the ball over 10.25 feet. I don't know the average of height of a kick, but i do know the goal post is 10ft high.

You can't be this stupid. The shorter the FG, the higher it's kicked to avoid it being blocked at the line. Any short FG blocked at the line is squarely on the kicker.

Has an OP ever been marked unreadable but the thread stays? This is uncharted territory.

Who cares? People act like Hartley is irreplaceable or something. He isn't.

agreed that he should have gotten it higher, but when you don't engage the defense like they did you have a high probability of getting the ball blocked

Go back and watch the blockers in the center of the line on both attempts. The lazy fricks didn't even move or try to do a damn thing.

They're just as much to blame

Doesn't matter if they were blocked or not. Under 40 yards (he's missed 4 this year) the kicker needs to get some height on the ball. FGs of 50+ yds require lower trajectory. No more excuses, he needs to go, this week. There are probably a dozen good kickers who would show up Tuesday if called Monday.
