Both the number & variety of all these rumors reminds me once again why LSU fans got so sick of Nicky. This kind of BS happened every yr he was at LSU except for his first yr. Like a clock, every yr, these rumors would start, then grow & grow. And all that was happening, up until the end, was Sexton was making Nicky millions and millions more. Which is his job. But whenever I hear Nicky say "it's not about the money"...I laugh my butt off. Bama is now getting a rich taste of what LSU fans had to put up with for 4 consecutive yrs.

The 3 crystal balls make it much easier on us, I think.

I have a couple of UT buddies who have been telling me for weeks that this is a done deal and that all this news would break after the Baylor game. I didn't believe them, but now it looks like they were right.

Interestingly, one of Perry's guys who is really behind the push to make UT almost a Univ of Phoenix look-alike is a UT grad, Jeff Sandefer. So perhaps alma mater isn't a good indication...
The next governor is likely a UT grad...but that's for the poli board.
While Perry's idiotic plans for UTa is much more public, he has identical plans for A&M and there is a lot of worry that he will take over as prez of A&M when Bowen leaves. I am really not a fan of the guy.

Sarah Patterson rumored to be part of the deal as well...

Same rumor; Saban & Prez going to Tejas as a pair, has been floating for at least 3 or 4 days.
Means it belongs to the public domain now and no longer qualifies as inside information.

quote:How long has it taken quite a few LSU fans to accept his departure? And since he stayed longer and was even more successful at Bama, it could be exponentially longer for them.
How long before Bama fans accept what is about to happen?

So your saying the Horns are taking the coach & the principal?
Any truth to the rumor Saban will be required to teach "Men's Health" class?

Does that have anything to do with Perry pushing for more online courses in Tejas?

It has everything to do with Perry wanting to drastically decrease the costs of college tuition in the state - which in and of itself isn't a bad thing. But it is bad when it comes at the price of the school's reputation, faculty, research etc. The online aspect is a means to an end.
