This is an award that i wouldn't mind them doing away with

Heisman Award = Popularity Award
Actually JFF SHOULD win hands down. He put up better numbers against tougher talent while having the pressure of being the current Heisman Trophy winner. Don't tell me W-L record matters. Paul Horning won the Heisman when Notre Dame went 2-8.

Apparently me telling the Gumps on the sec rant that AJ shouldn't be there = melt.

I like your chart, but it pretty much shows Winston deserves the award, which he is almost certainly going to win. I can't get too up in arms over who the runners up are. Who cares, honestly?
Does Petty deserve a trip to NYC? Yes. But in the end, you can easily justify Winston winning the award over him, and that's what counts. I'm not going to get ticked that the guy who finished 7th in the balloting should've been #2.

quote:Actually, no, Auburn would not be where they are without Tre' Mason. I realize you have maybe seen Auburn play, I don't know, once...and this can be evidenced by your posts of giving him absolutely no credit for anything.
AU could still be there without Mason.
quote:What does the NFL have to do with college football? The Heisman trophy does not go to a player the voters think will be the best in the NFL. Oh, and BTW, Cam Newton and Reggie Bush are doing pretty good. Robert Griffin III had a great Rookie season, yet he is surrounded by a terrible team.
And name me the last winner to do shite in the pros??????????
quote:The Heisman trophy has nothing to do witt he NFL, sorry...
Back in the day the award winners did MUCH better in the pros........ What line you wanna draw?????
quote:Hypocrite, thy name is PEEEEEEEEJ.
OH I forgot. YOU are a punk kid who knows NOTHING about the history of College football...............
quote:You are an idiot, PEEEEEJ.
WHY??? Cause YOU are a PUNK IDIOT???????????
quote:Johnny Manziel made his offense, and made his team. I realize your more than likely have not watch Texas A&M either this year, but their defense is what lost nearly all of their games. AJ McCarron could not hold Johnny Manziel's jock.
Leading your team to 11-1 over LEADING your team to 8-4 says HOWDY................
quote:Do you want him to play fricking defense, PEEEEEJ? Damn, full retard here.
IF Manziel was THAT GOOD They would not have lost the games they did.........
quote:quote:Nope........
So Tebow shouldn't have gotten the Heisman?
All in all, solid job making a complete dumbass out of yourself.

peej already disappeared, never to return to this thread, so that was pointless

you just said IF he wins. just clarifying there is no way he wins. get your bama panties out of a wad
Posted on 12/10/13 at 10:10 am to Patton
If you put Hill, Yeldon, Gurley, Davis, or Williams at Auburn instead of Mason they dont miss a beat. If you put Manziel, Murray, Mett, or Shaw at Bama they dont miss a beat. So the argument of who is more important is useless. Both are great players

I was hoping to see his reply to your last post towards him. That would have been entertaining.

yea when his bullshite is called out and proven wrong, he runs and hides. PUNK arse litTLE BITCH

My Bama panties are just fine. Preciate your interest in them. I don't think any UA fans on this site expect AJ to win the award. But we are enjoying how upset it's making people he even got an invite despite not having close to the same stats.
Posted on 12/10/13 at 10:14 am to lsupride87
Shaw was a badass mother fricker this year an should have gotten an invite over AJ. This invite for AJ is like a going away present for winning a lot of games.

like I said before, great QB, does the job he was given very well, just not Heisman worthy.
nothing wrong with that. I'm sure he will have fun in NYC regardless.

Lynch and the other running back are not known nationally.
Mason got the pub to late IMO.
JFF probably has the best numbers against the best competition, but many voters might not vote for him again because of the off-field antics.
Leaving AJ as the safest bet, yet least deserving.
Remember why Peyton didn't win the Heisman, not because Woodson was better, but Peyton never beat Florida in 4 years, so I guess it can be a lifetime achievement award.

Mason deserves to win. The rapist will win.
