So student tickets are $80... doesn't that seem a little steep for student tickets seeing as it is all the way in Tampa. I am from an hour south so I am going either way it just seems like no student is going to pay $80 for nose bleeds with the added 22 hours round trip from baton rouge to Tampa.

Pile that on top of gas money, food, and more expensive hotels than other areas, Jacksonville especially. Like I said, I would've gone to the Gator Bowl, but Outback is too much.

With the exception of National Championship game tickets (or playoff tickets), I'll never order bowl game tickets from LSU. Unless you're high on the TAF list, LSU gives you the shittiest seats in the house. And, for non-BCS bowls, you can always get cheaper (than face) tickets on the open market, or at the game. If LSU was "more fair" in distributing tickets, I would gladly order from LSU. But, until then, I'll get my bowl tickets (in better seats than LSU would give me) elsewhere.

Yeah Iowa fans will do anything to leave that shithole of a state, but in the Jeston-esque metropolis of Louisiana...

Hammer meet nail. They force us to spend extra money traveling to see the one decent OCC game we get per year, then wonder why we don't want to jump up and disrupt our holidays to drive forever or spend out the wazoo for a flight to watch a midday start New Year's Day against a team with zero appeal. We aren't all OT rich, believe it or not.

Someone send a ticket to me. I will drive down.

Yes this ALWAYS works

Lots of excuses already by "fans" in this thread. Im sure it will get even worse the closer we get to the game.

I suspect if things hold to form LSU fans will be significantly outnumbered by Iowa fans.

I'm a Wisconsin fan and they sent that to me.

If I could I would go in a heartbeat. But I just retired and bowl games aren't in the budget, and we have first grandkid due in January.... anyway

Section 146 is best available; endzone right in front of the pirate ship. $90 each (including $10 "convenience" fee).

How much are tickets going for for season ticket holders?
Posted on 12/9/13 at 8:37 am to ladytiger118
$80/ticket. Just went through the process and best available was section 146 (where ever that's at). $160 + $20 charge = $180

Iowa fans outnumbered us about 5-1 at the 2005 Capital One Bowl.

I think people get disenchanted with the program when we have 3 or more losses. People would rather spend their new years and money at home instead of a bowl for mediocre teams. Thats just the way it is.

If I had to live in Des Moines, I would travel as much as possible, also.

LSU fans trying to make a statement by not attending better hope that we don't get a bad rep for not traveling well like we did back in the 90's. Nobody wanted us then.
Very good point. I hate the attitude people have towards a bowl game that is not the BCSNCG

Are you going to the game?
no, I'm not traveling to tampa to see iowa on new years morning. it doesn't seem very enjoyable at all. I doubt the team even shows up. I'm not going to give ridiculous excuses on why i'm not going like the others on here are though. lsu "fans" have gotten to where they have an excuse for everything. if you don't want to go, just admit it and stop with the excuses.
