hate to use a welker comparison but it's appropriate i guess.

1. trey faster
2. trey taller
3. trey jumps higher
4. trey more athletic

1. trey white

Dural and Diarse are the front runners to start in my opinion
Obviously Quille if he comes
Quin is probably the most ready true freshman
Look out for Spears Leslie and Johnson hopefully one can step up. I really like spears

I really don't get it. Black QBs can complain bc they're thought of as "more athletic" rather than "smart". But a freak athlete with great hands, moves, 4.4 speed and who owns MULTIPLE national receiving records is a 4* "slot receiver" who is CLEARLY not as good as others in his class?
There's a blatant double-standard at work here. And people just perpetuate it.

This video is from last year
Lots to be excited about in that vid, but was surprised by his toughness. I knew that he was a special athlete, but at 4:34 in that vid he gets rocked and hops up like it was nothing. Don't underestimate the swag factor.

I had this conversation with myself this morning, but more so on the lines of "big time" players in general.
The answer is "you just never know". Did y'all think 80/33 were going to be this good? I didn't.
Anyone think Mett would play the way he played? I figured he'd be better, but jeez, not like this.
Check out Jameis Winston, JFF, Denard Robinson as a freshmen. Who's to say Jennings Christ won't look like that next year?
Conversely, anyone thing our D line would be this mediocre this year? Anyone see the regression of the Jalen's coming?
You just never know.
Didn't mean to hijack, but in my opinion (and as has been stated umpteen gillion times), THATS why losing the number of u/c was so damaging. But back to your question.......
Someone will step up. Malachi, #83, Diarse, Speedy, D'haquille (hopefully).......someone will step up and fill in.

He has Eric Decker written all over him.

I believe Noil has a better chance to contribute as a freshman than Quinn.

Seriously. If I were TQ I'd have a perpetual chip on my shoulder about the thinly veiled racism that goes on with regards to white receivers.
The kid is a freak. He hands like Jarvis, moves like Odell and a physical blocking mentality that we don't have this year.
He DOES play with the chip!
And for those who are curious about his physical style/run blocking ability, see his senior HUDL highlights.

I know Speedy hasn't played much wide receiver, if at all, but I feel like he is being downplayed because he played qb in hs.
There is one and only ONE thing I need to know about Speedy and that is if he can catch. And I mean consistently catch the RIGHT way by using his hands and not catching it against his body and pinning the ball to his body with his elbows, forearms, or hands. That way works sometimes but LSU wr's need a way that works ALL THE TIME. You'd be surprised how many D1 wideouts out there STARTING that have the speed, perfect physical attributes, and good route running but can't catch the damn ball!! It sounds ridiculous but I swear to y'all it's more common than you would think!
So if Speedy shows in spring practice next year that he has no issues catching the ball then I think the kid could get some playing time.
WHEN THAT BOY GETS THAT FOOTBALL IN HIS HANDS he is damn close to a Gail Sayars (sp?) with his open field running ability. I hardly ever use the word "special" to describe a player and I think it's used very loosely around here but Speedy Noil is special. If he can still have his exact same skills after he goes through the great program of Strength & Conditioning then the kid will be Noel Devine, Barry Sanders(favorite player lol), and Gail Sayars combined.
Not saying he will be as good as those guys but he possesses very similar football traits with all 3 of those guys.
SPECIAL
tl;dr

t's crazy to think that Avery should be a junior next year.
He is actually a year older than his graduation class. Next year Avery will be a RS Freshman but he will be the age of a senior.

+ Landry and Beckham gone
+ Quille stays pat when he sees Auburn win the SEC, Ohio St loses, and War Eagles go to NC.
+ I have no ideo how the bottom 5 WRs will go in the rotation, but the top four guys will be your starting lineup when the season stats.
If we can't get another RB, I think Upchurch plays as an H back.

I can somewhat agree with this.

you haven't watched Trey Quinn play if you think he has moves like Odell. What makes Quinn good is his straight line speed and ball skills. He doesn't change direction that great.

Jarvis and Odell are both good to great blockers.
