Assuming that they don't faceplate in the SEC title game, I don't think Texas could outbid Auburn.
Not that UT doesnt have absurdly deep pockets, but because at this point with the turnaround and the super high profile win Aubbie'll probably mortgage the university of need be in order to get the money needed to keep him.

Texas could outbid the hell outta Bama or AU dpfor a coach like Saban or Malzahn whichever they prefer or whichever one will listen...seriously
And the pitch will include its own network, the largest most fertile recruiting state and whatever the hell else the said coach wants

The UT guys I know are all looking for the anti-Mack. For all of his success, Mack is seen as an enabler who created a country club environment. He is not viewed as a hard nosed coach who demands toughness. Great recruiter, but light in the Xs and Os.
Who meets the description of a successful coach who can recruit at the same level as Brown, but is the opposite of him when it comes to toughness and discipline??
