That's ok, but I think that most of us assumed that after being passed over last year in a better bowl (Cotton), that the SEC wouldn't let it happen to LSU again. That's why I've posted several times in the last few weeks that LSU would get the Outback bowl invite.

Any chance Miles got Alleva to twist some arms so he wouldn't have to coach against Michigan?

if we think its tough to get LSU players to play at the end of the season, good luck getting them pumped to play iowa

I hope Les wouldn't have turned down the Rose Bowl after 2006 had USC beaten UCLA. It would have been LSU/Michigan.

I have a friend here in Tampa who manages a hotel- just texted me the LSU band is staying at her hotel in Clearwater. Its on for Outback!

There is another advantage as well. The Under Armour game is on January 2nd in St. Petersburg at Tropicana Field. LSU coaches will be all around top flight high school guys to recruit that weekend. LSU fans can also go check out that game the day after the Outback bowl.
