My experience with political discussions on SR was certainly NOT a left leaning one.
Though I totally agree with your assessment of here. It leans so far to the right that casual racism and sexism are permissible.

I discovered ST and TD at the same time in jan 2004
SR has gone so downhill, not that it was that great and a lot of their users have come over here
That place blows. It is a hair above falcons life and that's during our golden age.

I agree with this. It used to be the best place out there. A lot of the good posters jumped ship and it became even more moderated. But back in the early 2000s I loved it.
ST is my board of choice now.

Quite the opposite for me. I really enjoyed their board in it's first iteration, Iron Era. My absolute favorite posters was RothT. That dude could write some funny arse shite. He left us much too early in a tragic cycle accident (I think it was his first ride iirc).
After he left, the site became not so much fun. RothT's ex wife is one of the mods, and based on my experience with her, I can understand why she became his ex.
