I think Greer is done. Like...forever.

I hope he isn't, but that's my impression. He is a great Saint!

Hope for a speedy recovery.

I tore mine playing basketball. Knee went outward, completely tearing the my MCL in half, ripping the ACL and some muscle. I rehabbed, no surgery. Apparently John Elway won the super bowl without an MCL. A few months later, I'm back to playing basketball, and my knee goes the opposite direction, with a brace.

It's one of those things that makes me shudder every time I think about it.

kinda ironic that DeShazier had a spotlight piece on him yesterday...

read it HERE
“Playing 10 years, I don’t take it for granted at all. I’ve enjoyed every opportunity that I’ve had but I realize that it wasn’t me pulling the strings. It wasn’t only my hard work and my dedication that got me to this point. I understand that God has led me here for a reason, and I try to search every day for an opportunity to be an impact, whether it’s on the field or in the locker room or in the community.”

I've appreciated his contributions. The NFL is tough competition. So ya never know, it might be the end of the road or the end of his playing here.

He'll be 32 and in his 11th year in the NFL in 2014. Looks like it would cost $3-4mil of cap to cut him and save a net $8.2mil

Hell of a player for us and a Hell of a man. Also seems like a great dad. Really feel for him. One of my all-time fav Saints.

The damage to the knee can vary from person to person. It looked a lot like Macgahee's injury in the NC some time ago. He is likely done for the year, but tears didn't necessarily occur just because it looked gruesome.

That said, I hope he has a speedy recovery and no long term effects.

Dude.

That gif looks like a little more than a sprain to me.

I know I know. Excitement trumped judgment on that one

He was a terrific acquisition for the Saints but this might be the end depending on what they do in the offseason. Great player and great guy.
