Anyone know the starting salary for a 1st year CPA in LA? Small firm

I've tried looking at salary websites but it seems most of those are for accountants.

TIA

Depends on how much experience you have. Right out of college will be $44k-$50k range.

My wife started out as a staff accountant (didn't have her cpa)and her starting salary was around $38,000.

CPA should be 50k+

In my experience, CPA license doesn't factor too much into starting salary. It comes more in to play once you start working and are up for promotions. Without a CPA, you can only progress so far in a public accounting firm before you hit a ceiling.

Small firm --- Experience > CPA

40k-45k would be the range to expect.
