I would like to see stats on how many times people needed 16 bullets for home defense or even concealed carry? Trayvons got shot once

Let's not have the "need" discussion.

If I'm in some sort of gunfight, I prefer to have as much ammo as I can fit in one magazine. Period. If I'm carrying concealed, I understand full well that I'll have to sacrifice capacity for comfort (or at least I choose to do it). But if size is not a limitation, I'm gonna have a full mag in a full sized handgun. It's not a tough guy competition, it's your life.

Everything about what he wants screams full sized 357 magnesium

I love magnesium.

But I agree here. The key phrase is "full sized." Full sized auto, full sized revolver... both easy to shoot.

As long as it's not a full sized glock

I will the shield and CM9 are the only two compacts I've shot that I'd say I could shoot well, so if it's got to be a compact that's a good one IMO.

I thoroughly enjoyed shooting the shield with regular cheapo depot ammo. It was a little less fun with +p but still very manageable. I'm also more used to buffalo bore magnums than anything, so I might not be a good reference. I'm surprised with I pull a trigger and it doesn't hurt a little bit.

Just echoing what everybody else has been saying. Great little gun. I carry it more and more along with my 9c. But for a first gun to learn technique and proper form a bigger gun is what you want.

Well then let's just all carry full sized rifles with drum mags.

Everyone's up my arse for my personal opinions lately. I just like to back up what I say. Apparently it rustles a few Jimmies...

And Broke it ultimately comes down to personal opinion. So whatever this dude likes he will buy. Just saying it's better to have 17 and not need it than to need 17 and not have it.

Forgot to add that he wants higher round capacity and easy reloading. Rules out the shield and 357

Full sized M&P in 9, 40, or 45 if he's set on the M&P platform. I sure love mine though.
