If he doesn't care then why the hell bother posting in this thread at all? Nobody is saying anything that he supposedly places any value on.
We both know the point of this thread. It's to further the narrative that "Saban might win more championships, but at least our coach isnt an a-hole".
Congratulations, Saban is probably an a-hole and Miles looks like a really nice guy. Hopefully that makes 1/9 easier to swallow, though I somehow doubt it.

First of all: At the time he played Kent State was not a D-1 school.
Not true. They were "Major College."

I was able to attend two or three practices when Saban was at LSU. How anyone could work with him or for him, I will never know.

Actually, while not speaking for all, I think most people just think he is a dick, period.
This is a characteristic shared by many, if not most, high end CEOs, Entrepreneurs, etc. Singular focus, dedication, expectation of perfection and frustration with those that do not share the same drive and determination...pretty common among the most high functioning individuals in business and government (and football).

Yeah, I hardly saw anyone in the thread going after that narrative. I guess it makes the Bama fans feel better about themselves, to believe that is how we think. Whatever.

Almost got in a wreck with him on campus 2000. Gave him the bird. He did the same.
Holy shite. That's funny.

He is just not a good person.
Who gives a shite. Most people aren't really "good" in any meaningful way. Few are as talented as Saban.
This is a whiney, stupid thread.

hatred of Les Miles says a lot about your inability to apply fourth grade arithmetic to real-life situations.
Hate Miles?? Not hardly. Good guy, mediocre coach. Saban just happens to be the better coach. And once again, if you can't see this then you are still a whiny little bitch about him leaving or you know nothing about football.

If Saban has a statue, it's time to give a real coach a statue. Let's get Les's statue going, it's time to move into modern football times and put your best coach of all time in front of tiger stadium.
Minor problem... Alabama has statues of all coaches who won a Natty. If LSU makes statue of LesMiles, don't they need to put up a statue of Saban too? Oh the quandary, oh dilemma...

When Les passes Mac, statues of Mac and Les.

I know first hand that the board of supervisors made him take public speaking classes on a weekly basis because his media interviews were so bad when he first started.
Wait...wait...wait, what? They must send Les off to a public speaking boarding school then in the off season.

By the way, slept with him twice...overrated.

If you equate "excellence" only with wins then you're sadly mistaken. Please don't misunderstand me. I like winning just as much as anyone else. But if the sole standard of "excellence" is wins then you don't know what you're talking about.
Miles exudes excellence in his demeanor, he brings it out in his players, he shows it in his human interactions with others and he creates leaders because of his caring attitude. A true leader brings up other leaders. He doesn't scream, yell, and browbeat them into submission. If you've done any reading, you'll understand that players WANT to play for Miles because of his excellence. Players would COME BACK to play for Miles for the same reason. Make no mistake, he knows football better than probably anyone on the rant. But he has and brings out excellence in himself and others.
I'm sorry, but excellence in the world of CFB and CFB coaching is only determined by wins. It's the harsh but honest truth. He is not a professor or sales team manager where the things you mentioned, matter, he is a football coach. And when discussing CFB, excellence=wins. I'm not a Miles basher, look at my post history. I think he is an OK coach who is in an excellent situation making him an above average coach, but I like him. I don't think he will go anywhere nor do I want him too. I'm just saying, your validity for excellence is far off for a profession that is only revolves around 1 thing.

Not that you care or anything but Les is the winningest coach in LSU history and top 3 in the country since he's been here.
