LSU will be a footnote even if they win. Anytime Bama loses it's big news. Combine that with the end of the SEC era of dominance, footnote at best.

Narrative should be what the punishment will be to the officiating crew for letting this happen.

Honestly, if we were to beat Bama but they still won out, won the SEC CG, they *should* be in the NCG. Assuming either Oregon or FSU lost a game. Ohio St is not nearly as good as their streak/record suggests. Baylor will likely lose 1 or 2 before it's over.

frick the SEC and the streak. I have no doubt in my mind there are guys here who would root for Bama if they were going for their 8th title in a row because it keeps the SEC streak alive.

It will be about them losing. They've lost 3 games in 3 years. We lost to Clemson and Ole Miss JV.

All attention to will move to FSU and Oregon and many will rejoice.

Allegiances will be tested. Slive and the others will push ESPN like they have not had to before to push Bama in over an undefeated.

Ohio State has kicked it into high gear, albeit against unranked competition. Braxton Miller is running that offense to perfection. I was a naysayer on Tosu earlier in the year but I think they coast to an undefeated season *AND* should get the nod over any 1-loss team.

Bingo. Will be just like 2011.

No one will care. It will be more about making excuses for Bama and doing all they can to get them in the title game whether or not they deserve it.

Lose to Ole Miss = Don't get any credit for anything you have worked for all year long.

In fairness, Florida 2008 made it with a loss to Ole Miss. Of course, that turned out to be a very good Ole Miss team and Florida didn't lose to their second string.

yeah, that sucked having the most glorious regular season in LSU history, and winning the SEC title. I know the end of the season sucked, but that was still a great ride. Never take SEC titles for granted.

Make no mistake, I am happy with the 2011 season.

I'm just going with what the narrative will be, which will be the fact that LSU will be a footnote. 2011 proved to us and everyone else that LSU winning this game means the game doesn't count.

This game is essentially a "bye" week for Bama that just enhances their resume.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see a one-loss Bama play for another NC.

A team that doesnt win its division, or conference wont play for the NC. Not this year.

That it wasn't fair and that Alabama should get a rematch in the Sugar Bowl.

That a one-loss Bama can still get to Natty.

Alabama beat themselves. A rematch needed in Bowl season.

That's what a lot of this board says, so why would you complain about that?

I'm not this board. I dont think they've played any sort of stretch of good teams.
