If this has already been posted, I apologize.

What kind of knife is that dude working with?

It appears to be pretty damn sharp.

Looks like a regular dexter russel knife with a colored handle.

The skin that is attached seems to pull off really easy.

Think they may have put an air hose under the skin first

I'm thinking they must have.

Either way, that dude has his method down pat.

he spun that knife like a solo drummer with drumsticks then stabbed the knife in the hindquarter to hold it

Nice work "Dave"

That's a move I don't particularly care for. Don't be stabbing my roasts!

We always have used the rock and truck method. Hang from the neck, skin to the shoulders, ring the feet. Then roll a rock in the hide that is hanging at the shoulder. Tie a rope to the bundle, and attach to the trailer hitch of the truck. Drive the skin right off. Out of dozens of deer, we have only taken a head off twice.

Isn't he using a bubba blade? Didn't watch the video, but I seem to remember a vid with a guy using a bubba blade and skinning a deer in something like 2 mins?

Technically the arse and rear legs were already skinned and I believe the anus dissected from the rump prior to the video starting.

and why does he cut holes in the ribs?

and why stab the roasts?

To grab the carcass off the hooks, like handles

Arab the roast to hold the knife. I don't think a couple small slits will hurt anything

Things your wife will never say about a planned trip to an oriental massage parlor for $1000 Alex.
