John Randle was clinically insane. Which was an asset. Jack Lambert would have run over his mother to get to a QB. These guys aren't paid to do anything other than terrorize opponents. Having a screw loose is NOT a liability given the job.

When I think of Sonic Sam, all I can see is him hulk smashing the ground. Hell it got me fired up all the way in GA just watching on tv. Dude was an epic Tiger and will always be remembered fondly in our house.

Not surprising - he always called himself Sonic Sam even when he was still at LSU. Bennie Logan said one time that Sam was just like a big kid, and always playing video games.

Does anyone else remember reading during his recruitment that his family literally believed that he had super powers?
As others have said, is there really a difference between saying you are a beast on the field and saying you're Sonic? As long as he didn't show up to the interview with a bag full of gold rings it shouldn't have been a big deal.
