I'd gladly settle for a lower winning percentage in exchange for..... oh let's say....another bowl victory or two and maybe one more NC. Woudn't you???

hell yes. I would take going 8-5, 8-5 and then 13-1 and winning the sec every 3 years along with a possible NC.

I could care less about the overall record combined. Miles getting paid what he is he should be winning a 'ship every 3 years. We are at 4.5 right now. With our recruits and facilities that is not too much to ask. Bama has won a championship 3 out the last 4 damn years.

Les is awesome. Did any of you whiners were fans of LSU in the 90's?? Jeeez... 11-win seasons don't grow on freaking trees, man. It sucks to lose like that, but Mett lost that game, not Les. Despite the end.

Perfect timing for this post

Right after a Charlie Mac comparison about how awesome he was bc of his winning percentage

I don't give a flying frick about his overall winning %...this is the ONLY stat Pumpers throw out to justify what's going on with the team NOW!
I'll give the man props for winning some big games but he has also fricked up some BIG games that have cost us dearly.

Les continues to get out coached time and time again. If you think that LSU should have lost to UGA and Ole Miss then your crazy. Yes his win % is great but, but he folds in big games when the pressure hits!! Also if LSU beats Bama I will be happy but i'm not gonna all of the sudden forget about gettng beat twice!!! If anything i'll be upstet because I know what kind of talent this team has and we should have taken care of business earlier. If you think its okay for Les to keep making bad decisions when the game is on the line then fine, but he should be held accountable like everyone else, and saying it was your fault is not enough!!! The fans know its your fault Les. This is my first post so I know im getting long winded and i apologize. I think LSU is great, not good. And good is what the adminsitration and the fans are getting with Les.

Are Miles's and Archer's records anywhere near comparable? You people are so stupid sometimes.

He never implied this. His point was that you can't put too much stock in players' opinions - and he's right!

and that particular fake was just very poorly designed & executed.

I thought it was too predictable. It was very well designed and executed, however. The problem was that Bama outguessed us and dropped into a safe package just when the ball was snapped.

Can we possibly move on now from the ridiculous "fire people" nonsense?

It is certainly ridiculous to think Miles or any coaches will be fired.

However, it is not ridiculous to be irritated at Miles. I think everyone knows that this team doesn't have a championship caliber defense. It is a rebuilding season on that side of the ball.

However, the game plans for the past two weeks were abysmal. We have great skill players. We went away from what was working and laid an egg. Miles didn't have the team ready. He sat Hill too long for his fumble. We didn't use Landry in the intermediate game the entire first half. Apparently Cam couldn't settle down Mettenberger.

It's just frustrating. Miles sounded stupid yesterday. Then again, he usually sounds stupid or confused.

Seriously, is anyone really going to watch the game with Furman? The only plausible reason for watching would be to see Jennings but we know that won't happen.

Next year theres a good chance the chickens will come home to roost. We lose our one promising offense as the key players move on to the next level and we will have another unproven, untested defense.

Gloat? Be happy?? When did I EVER say I was happy when LSU loses?? When did I EVER say I was happy LSU was not better than BAMA?? Please copy those words from any if my posts in this thread and I'll acknowledge it. Balls in your court Chief!!

The only thing that would make u happy would be if we fire Miles, kidnap Saban, or clone him. anything else will not make u happy. There is NOT one coach in the country who will challenge Saban and Bama any harder than Miles does...period. The only other coach who WAS close was Urban Meyer. Meyer at Ohio St. will NOT challenge bama

SO you're saying there's no statistical relevance between win percentage and championship appearance?

No i'm simply stating I wouldn't be upset (as someone earlier suggested)if we went 8-4, 8-4, 13-1 NCs....etc.
As long as we could maybe peak occasionally and win it all.
I think most posters would take this kind of pattern....rebuild..rebuild...win it all.

So I guess you just ignore that we won a championship, then built back up to 13-1. We're pretty much right on that pattern.

Since Les admited the lose was his fault, he should donate 1/11th of his salary to some charity...then he would really feel the pain and have some incentive to not let it happen again.

Why would he donate 1/11th? We play 12 regular season games + a bowl game for a total of 13 games.

the lose

Lose is a verb, not a noun.

Never lose again? You are a fricking idiot.

Did you miss that part? So if we're on that pattern, when do we get the goods? It's been since 07....again I said peak and win it all...not clearly have the best team in the land and shite the bed.
