If CLM intentionally caused that much confusion on the part of UT, then I give all credit due.
Not what I was saying at all.

The end of that game was absolute chaos. And yes, I do feel that the players deserve far more credit than the play callers, whoever they may be or may have been
Had Les not called Lee in, we never get to that point.

I've watched enough football to know that you and I both have no clue what the second half would hold if the first half had been different.
But you can be opinionated and pretend if you choose.
Saying the defense lost the game on one drive (which is exactly what you said) when the offense did nothing but score zero points and turn the ball over the entire first half is asinine.

then I agree to disagree, and I'll defer to my thread from last night concerning general preparedness, attention to detail, and demanding perfection

The game was lost on the final drive. Period.
LSU could have done other things throughout the game to win, but that's a whole different thing altogether.

Then I guess every game ever is won or lost on the last play only. I don't agree with looking at it that way.

WTF??? Does every game come down to one drive at the end of the game?

LSU could have done many things to win the game, but lost it on the final drive. The most important plays of the game were the numerous (and not all were on the final drive) third and long conversions Ole Miss had.

Not really. In a game that LSU never lead and only tied in the final minutes, there was plenty of other things that lead to the loss. In fact, LSU was extremely lucky to be in the position they were in at the end of the game.
LSU could have made plays on the final drive to give themselves a chance to win, but the final minute doesn't override the previous 4 quarters.

It is not unique to our program. Bama for example has had several close games during their run that had no business being close or losing.
not trying to make this a LSU vs Bama thing but since you insist go look at their previous schedules. They beat pretty much every team they play by an average of 30 points, Only exceptions are LSU, South Carolina, Georgia and Auburn and obviously these are the teams that match us well against them. Everyone else they took care of business. This is over a coarse of 4 years.

May as well according to you if you think the offense gets a pass for doing nothing for an entire half.

In your opinion, maybe. To me, the most important plays were giving away three possessions on the road and forcing our already suspect D to be on the field much longer than they should have been.

You can't look at average margins to see what games they almost shite the bed in.
They had a lucky break against UT and close games with us and VT in 2009. That's three games right there that could have very easily gone the other way.

They don't. The offense sucked in the first half while the defense sucked the whole game.
There are roughly 120-150 plays in a game. LSU had many many opportunities to make plays on both sides of the ball.
In the end it came down to one drive to win for Ole Miss, and they did.

You're a special kind of stupid. What are you getting out of trolling?

The same sick, twisted, kind of perverse pleasure you get from "righting every injustice" you see on the rant.
You are really going to ask me this question???

Yes, because unlike me, you've given nothing to back up anything you say. So what do you get out of it?

I'm not going to argue further...you're obviously pissed....to each his own.
By the way, Shrubber is kicking your arse in your battle with him.

I'm pissed because I decided there was no point in going back and forth? Interesting theory.

Yea, that must be why no one agreed with him.
