It happened to Hilliard last year. Hilliard was having a very good season until the Towson game. He fumbled twice fighting for tough yards, and then tip toed his way around the field the rest of the season... and the first part of this year, to be honest.
Exactly.

did he also admit there were 4 others coaches yelling on headset to call TO with 26 seconds left?
Yep. Said he overrode the call then thought "damn it, i only got 6 seconds."
Is there another thread about this, or do you have a link? This is more thread worthy than benching our best back, he's been doing that since Keiland Williams

I'm taking Gurley from UGA any day.
And that means that Jeremy Hill is ineffective at running between the tackles?

You know Hill had 8 of the 9 last rushing attempts in the game, including a TD?
He also ran scared.
Watch the game again. Running game sucked in part because Hill was a different back than we are used to seeing.

We lose to bama if JJ doesnt play. We dont win the sec and we dont play for a bcs title against a team we already beat.
You're spot on. So if he was so willing to pull Lee for a poor 1st half performance in the 1st meeting, why not JJ in the second?
Oh and nothing wrong with pulling a QB for a series. No one with any sense would pull Mett for the game even if the backup breaks an 80 yard TD run. The guy has earned the position and has played great until Saturday.

Because Jarrett Lee sucked during that 8-0 run. We won those games due to turnovers and the running game, not the Great White Hope. DWI.

Didn't he fumble on the first play of the game?
Posted on 10/21/13 at 1:41 pm to Hat Tricks
Hat Tricks, so you bench one of the leading rushers in the SEC because of one fumble, but you leave Mettenberger in the game after 3 picks and should have been 4? Hmm, I guess you would another Miles apologist. Are you saying, in your infinite wisdom, that you agree with benching Hill, but leaving Mettenberger to kill our hopes of an win in Oxford???

No. But he's not the best in SEC. He does he damage by bouncing crap. Name me one time he trucked sticked somebody?

Duh. He always does this. Not the reason for the loss

Mett played fairly well in the second half. LSU doesn't have an experienced player to put in his position, unlike the RB position.

This. Lee absolutely shite his pants in teat Bama game. At least JJ came in and was not afraid to take the snap. I've never seen a QB as frightened to taqke a snap as Lee in that game.
I like lee but JJ needed to be put in at that time. People can argue about why Lee never saw any future time at QB but we will likely never know the truth.

Actually, statistically he is. 9.2 yards per carry when running between the tackles which leads the SEC.

You are a fricking retard. Seriously. You must not watch any of the games.

Pretty much did the rest of the game. LSU avg for the game was 3.3 yds per carry.
That happens when you include sacks in rushing stats.
Hill had 4ypc, Hilliard 5.3, Magee 5.7.
We were running the ball fine, just wasted our possessions with interceptions. We go down by 17 and have to start throwing to score. Our running game was reduced to red zone carries. Hill pplayed fine after the fumble.

This.
It's because Miles was infatuated with Jordan. He absolutely loves mobile QB's.

I know that Hill was buried on the bench in the first half.
Halftime score, 17-0.
And yes, I wholeheartedly believe that the safeties would have bitten more on playaction with Hill in the game.
(I also think that at least 2 of the 3 picks should have been completed anyway. They were poor throws and Beckham was open.)
