What is it about DBs from Florida. Looks like he bulked up a little, should definitely be getting a bump in ratings.

In his constant search for the next generation of defensive backs to represent "DBU," (Defensive Back University) Raymond scoured his recruiting area of Florida and stumbled across a dynamic safety prospect in Hallandale's John Battle. At 6-2, 190 pounds, Battle also has the size LSU is looking for. Add in the fact that he runs a sub 4.4, 40-yard time, and you now have the size and speed combination that NFL teams look for. Battle will visit LSU this summer, and if things go well, expect him to declare for LSU by summer's end.

Forgot he was that fast...

Has a lil Eric Reid in him. If we can get Reid-play out of him, holy moley!

The play at the 1:50 mark Battle looks like a safety to me.

he reminds me of that DB that was committed to us a year or two ago from Kentwood or Sumner. Can't remember his name but I think he was a grade casualty. Tall and lanky with good closing speed and pretty pyhsical.

Should Def be a 4* but who cares? He will be playing for us no matter the stars! Looks like he's very aware, knows exactly where the ball is and that's what you want with those measurables!! Damn good saftey prospect and looks like he will add some good muscle to that frame.... This dude attacks! SS all the way, and like I said he's gonna add some muscle and he's already fast with corner ball skills.
