No, most blacks kept heir cool, or voiced their opinions in a respectful, reasonable way. The problem is that the smaller percentage who did act the arse got all the attention.

Great Episode. Did Trey and Matt really think George Zimmerman should have been found guilty?

Of course not. But the ignorant masses did. Who do you think Trey and Matt lampoon most?

One of the best episodes ever, anything with Cartman and race is hysterical.

Based on this episode and the fact that they're liberals from Colorado I'm pretty sure they don't share the same opinion as most people on this board did. They were clearly lampooning the whole "Zimmerman just stood his ground and protected himself and it's ok bc Trayvon was a thug" school of thought. They probably don't have an actual legal opinion on the trial bc they aren't lawyers

I don't think Matt and Trey are liberals

Anyway I think one of my favorite moments from the episode was in mackey's office...

"No it's mmmkay. I'm gonna be mmmkay"

I think Matt and Trey's quote is "We hate conservatives. But we fricking hate fricking liberals."

They've both actually come out in public as being slightly conservative/libertarian.

The episode was making jokes at the expenxe of Zimmerman, WWZ, etc.

But the lampooning that Matt and Trey were trying to get across was how absolutely ridiculous the media coverage of these stories is.

Notice how Cartman was allowed to do/say anything he wanted and immediately it was taken as a fact and reported by the national news media.

It's an indictment on how the NNM handles breaking news no matter what side of the aisle youre on. The only thing they care about is sensationalizing the mopst outrageous story in order to gain viewers. Hence the role of Mr. Mackey in the episode never blaming Cartman or Token, but blaming them both in order to perpetuate the situation.

Either way this episode was golden.

Uhhh, it's happening again!

Yea that was my bad when I said liberal I was thinking more just anti establishment, but libertarian is a much better word for that. They do make fun of holier than thou PC stereotypical Hollywood type liberals all the time

Yeah, and that's what I love about SP. They make jokes at the expense of both sides of the aisle. But when you look at the common theme in most episdoes it really leans to the side that is most often being realistic about the situation, ie Right.
