Corey Thompson looked like a real safety out there. Only got burned that 1 time, and broke up 3 other pass plays and helped in run coverage. main thing was he did not over pursue and played like a last line of defense as he should. he has the tools to be great!

He has a chance to be a very good safety better than reid idk only if the corners pick it up time will tell.

I've called this since spring

I did not think so, and that play in the endzone was the opposite of good.
But it was more inexperience than inability, but we have to start trying to play the ball in the air.

Gave up the one TD obviously but i thought he played fairly well overall. Especially in the 2nd half.

I thought he looked much better out there than those who have played in front of him. However, he did not get much love from Hannigrif and Risher, who I have some respect, last night on the post game.

So he gives up one play that looks bad, then he's no good? Great insinuation there.
If Chavis would trust these CBs on islands, this defense has a shot at being decent enough to let the offense do their work.

He also was juked out of his shoes and whiffed on a tackle for a nice gain.

On that burn play, you could tell he was trying to avoid a PI. That's just youth and inexperience.
He will be talked about a lot as he plays more. Potential is the key word for him right now.

I love the way people love to discount his positives over 2 plays.

I didn't like the TD caught on him either and he agree he was trying to avoid the PI but will somebody teach that boy to turn his head and look for the ball he did that same thing against GA and if that ball was not already out of bounds when he made contact with #31 it would have been a PI...If he starts to peek around he will see that he can make a play on the ball and get some interception...but he did great otherwise got defensive player of the week for us in his first ever start
