The double standards in this thread are unbelievable. Exactly what iron clad defense has Rutgers faced this year?
No one in the thread said anything about Rutgers' offense. You asked who was allowing the least amount of PPG, which really isn't applicable in a conference game of this magnitude for both teams, especially given the level of competition that Louisville has faced. Louisville has allowed almost half the PPG of Oregon. Do you think they have a better defense than Oregon?
I just don't think the statistic had any real bearing on the analysis of this game.

People in Washington state are nuts about their sports. Plus that team loves playing for Sarkisian. He's done a really good job. My gut tells me Oregon SHOULD Cover two TD's. But having not looked at anything yet this week, I won't make a definitive statement.
I would take Oregon if a gun were put to my head but would probably not touch the game. There are so many intangibles going into this game. There is the rivalry, home crowd, new stadium but UW is coming off an emotional loss and they're still yapping about faking injuries and bad refs. Oregon, on the other hand, looked completely disinterested in the CU game in the first half until they realized they need to get their butts in gear. I think Oregon will be genuinely focused this game and UW might be a little tanked. However, Oregon hasn't faced a complete team like UW did in Stanford.
Wilcox likes to run mulitples on defense and I know they have the personnel to do it with Shaq, Feeney and other hybrid guys (important since they can't sub out). I just don't know how cute you can get on defense with the HUNH. They did go to the HUNH themselves to practice against it. Last year they were getting calls in late and running players out when we were snapping the ball.
Oregon can sit in it's base scheme and play them that way the whole the game. I like the matchup for Oregon better than Stanford but the intangibles throw this game way off.

Love Arizona coming off a bye and getting 6 points @ USCw fresh off the Kifftard firing.
Might even throw on some Zona ML action.

Have you seen how bad Denker is at QB for Arizona?

At throwing, he sucks... but he's a typical Rich Rod QB.
This is more about USCw being a shite show.

Useless factoid... As a head coach, Orgeron is 0 for his life ATS against teams with winning record.

Louisville line up to 19. I'm really hoping it somehow gets to 21.
Rutgers has a pretty good offense. Louisville will score, though.
The over may be the play.

I've had a good bit of success with teasers, but I apologize to those of you who are annoyed by them...
Anyway, Which is the better bet in your opinion, to tease Rutgers up to +28ish or tease Louisville down to -8 or 9ish?
IMO I'm more comfortable with Rutgers keeping it close than I am expecting Louisville to cover against a respectable conference opponent.

I tend to agree.
Of course that logic would have worked against you last week with a game like Maryland-FSU. Some had Maryland (crab cakes and football!) ATS, and lots of folks thought giving them 6 more in a teaser would be a lock. Lo and behold, they got blown the frick out of Talahassee, or just never showed up to begin with.

Did hear one of FSU's DTs leak out the Maryland offensive tells?
Offensive line feet placement:
I assume they did this so Maryland could correct it and finish higher in the rankings which would equal a greater chance of FSU finishing higher in the final BCS poll.

If Maryland’s offensive lineman squared their feet, it meant a run, Edwards said, while angled stances signaled pass. The Seminoles picked up on that and parlayed it into Maryland’s worst offensive game of the season.

I'm going to guess Maryland would have figured that one out after watching the tape.

Who has the argument of how Air Force is gonna cover 4 vs SDSU?
Posted on 10/9/13 at 10:59 am to death valley driver
Somebody mentioned before that teams coming off a game at Hawaii are horrible ATS the next week.
Plus there's the whole Thursday night home game thing

SDSU played a home game vs Nevada. The Force gives up 500+ a game and is down to their 3rd string QB. The driveman is sure it'll BE a straight up win for The Force BUT he can't see how SDSU doesn't atleast win by 10
