Has anyone heard or know of what the Chief himself had to say after the Georgia game? Did they interview him? I'd be really interested to see what he thought/has to say. A defensive performance like that deserves an explanation...

Big Chief say: From the rising of the sun to the setting of the sun, from the first day to the present time, not see such massacre. Well, maybe except Little Big Horn. But Custer heap big fool. We fix'em; no problem.

What the fck do you want him to say? Some of my players are stupid and inexperienced at this point in their careers and I hope that this explanation makes the internet dweebs happy?

There is no more proven defensive coach at the college level than Chavis. With the possible exception of Saban, but he isn't on the market and Chavis is certainly among the very best in the business.

That said, everyone expected a big dropoff. This is a recruiting and personnel management challenge, not a defensive coaching challenge. Things will be back to normal in the next 2-3 years.

Here is a thought:
Have faith in the Tigers
Dont expect to win EVERY game EVERY year. That is simply unrealistic. We still have as good of a shot as anyone in the country. Dont think for one second that the players as well as the coaches wont do everything possible to get better. Some of the people on here are ridiculous with their negativity!

P.S. I thinks its funny that bama fans come to comment in Tiger rant. We're gonna kick bamas a$$ this year and they know it!!! GEAUX TIGER!!!!

it really isnt hard to figure out that a guy like Murray will make zone coverages look stupid when he isnt worried at all about our pass rush.

I love Chavis and all but he did not earn his money last week. He could have turned up the heat somehow to change things up

When you cannot generate any sort of a pass rush, qb's far less talented than Murray are just going to shred you. Murray was just playing pitch and catch. Great one's (which Murray is) have to have their rhythm thrown off somehow, and if that doesn't happen, it doesn't matter how good the backs are, they're gonna pick you apart.
