Everybody on this board has shitty taste in music to everybody else. It's a weak go-to response that people say when they have nothing to say.

Nah

You legitimately have a shitty taste in music

He just told you. They build their live show around the vibe of the crowd and the interaction between the band ad the audience. They have their finger on the pulse of the crowd and they mold their playing around that.

This is just code for "I was on acid when I saw them and it sounded great". Otherwise, it's complete gibberish. The guitarist isn't fricking Obi Wan Kenobi. "finger on the pulse of the crowd"? Really man?

I love live music, but I don't believe it's all about the live show.

Have you ever recorded in a studio or played in front of a live crowd?

I enjoy Phish in my car all the time. From their live shows. Just because it doesn't appeal to people who don't enjoy that type of music doesn't mean it's bad.

Well there really isn't anything else to say when you state that Dave Matthews is better than one of the most respected bands of all time.

Do you like every band that's respected?

Where do you think good bands flesh songs out before they record them?

Oh the tried and true "I was on acid" argument. Original and also bullshite. You take a jam band (any one will do) and go listen to a live recording of one of their shows. The. Go listen to their studio albums. The live recording will be better every single time. Why? Because they are a part of the crowd and can feel the mood of the crowd which feeds their improvisational inspiration.

You're just proving that you really don't get it at all and not only that but you are damn near consciously keeping yourself from getting it

I'm not a huge huge fan of live albums generally. But if it sounds good to you blast away,

My biggest problem is that I live about 8 minutes away from campus so I end up having to split a lot of songs in half.
