Passion pit is terrible live. Only a 17 year female Virgin could enjoy that. They are a studio band

That moment when Jerry Garcia belts out 'Wish I was a headlight on a northbound train" and the crowd roars and the lights fly over the crowd. Or the crescendo out of Morning Dew. Or the call and response clapping with the audience at the end of Not Fade Away. Those are the moments of magic that no other band will ever recreate.

I'll never forget my first Dead show. I was amazed at how the crowd ROARED from the time they left the stage until they walked out for the encore.

The Grateful Dead had a massive following for a reason. I'm not doubting that it was a great experience.

They are a great studio band. And I've seen them twice live, and both times it was certifiably eargasmic. And if there were 17 year old female virgins in the crowd, I promise that I did nothing to rob them of their chastity.

Festivals. I would never pay to go to a stand alone Passion Pit show; I'm a post-puberty male.

Festivals where I sat through the filth known as Passion Pit to reserve a good seat for the upcoming band on that stage.

Not at all, he is the boss...

3 hour shows are quite lame, unless it's Bruce!

Right, you had to "reserve a good seat" at a music festival. Okie dokie, guy.

he meant "save a spot" He needed to get a spot because it's difficult to push through the crowd. sounds like youve never been to one

If the guy was referring to a spot, he would have written the word spot.

Solid white-knighting, though.

Yep. Do it all the time when there's free time between good bands. Sat on a blanket for 3 hours through multiple acts to have a spot on the rail for Phish at 'Roo '09. Doing this for the right act is the only way I'd sit through Passion Pit, guy.
