So, I posted previously we're doing a Food and Drink web series, and we're starting to plan season 2 right now.

What hidden gems should we include?

Would Pocorello's be considered a hidden gem or do most people know about it?

I've never cared for Zeeland, ever since I got yellow gumbo with carrots in it.

Just about everything that's been mentioned. The pupusa with the relish is very good at La Reyna. Anthony's, Randy Montalbano's. La Morenita on Florida has fresh-made corn tortillas and a salsa/condiment bar - so good. Ham & brie sandwich at Yvette Marie's. Beauregard Gallery and Bistro has excellent soup and huge sandwiches. Fresh Junkie in the Main St. Market does great wraps, as well as the crepe place there and the place at the end with the chicken salad. I miss the Dolce Vita pizza truck downtown so much

Willie's on Cloverland is probably really a hidden gem to most people. I have friends that live a mile away and didn't know it was there. Chicken fried chicken on Fridays is amazing, but I've never had anything from there that wasn't very good at the least.

And this may sound strange, but for people who are new to BR - students or what have you - I wonder if Tony's would be considered a hidden gem. I mean, a lot of people don't venture out that far, and it's definitely a gem.

And now I'm hungry.

Little Saigon on Florida and Sherwood, next door to the Baskin Robbins.

NOT the posers who have their old location and named their business "Saigon Noodle" or someshite like that ... Dang's is also a good place to get Viet cuisine, but Little Saigon is the best in BR.

Get that grilled chicken recipe and you will be a God.

Dream Berries on Sherwood. Frozen Yogurt and Vietnese Food. Both great! Very cool looking too. Totally unexpected and enjoyable experience.

Forgot The Cove Hawaiian Grill on Bluebonnet. Spicy chicken wrap with sambal sauce and a side of bulgogi "fries" which are really homemade chips. It's very different from anything else in town, and it's tucked away in a strip mall behind a drug store. Parking is tight but so worth it.

Crawford's Two comes to mind.

Two defunct restaurants that I dearly miss are Ronnie's Ribs (sort of a misnomer because I never did have the ribs there) and Montana's for their Bandeja Paisa platter.

Not a restaurant but I went to AZ International Fine Foods today for the first time. (first time making chicken tikka masala and I needed tandoori spice)I have passed this place zillions of times and never went in. It has a great selection of things you don't see anywhere else.
