Tonight #17 plays his last home game for the Rockies. I've been fortunate to watch him for his entire career and got the opportunity to speak to him for about 10 minutes years ago at a social function.
Peyton Manning's in the Rockies dugout enjoying the pregame ceremonies.
Two Tennessee legends.
Enjoy your retirement Todd.

Sucks his retirement was overshadowed by Rivera.

He didn't announce it until last week.

I think he preferred to go out without a lot of fanfare and attention.
The Rockies gave him a horse as a retirement gift.
The Helton family lives on a ranch in the Denver suburbs.

It's a shame that his accomplishments will always be noted by "Yea, but he played half his games at 5,280 feet"

Yeah that's true, but screw it. If you watched the dude, you knew he could play. I know I'm not gonna forget about his playing anytime soon

And Dante Bichette who's the Rockes hitting coach. He announced he's hanging it up after 1 year to spend more time with the family. I think he has a couple of sons who are MLB prospects.

Yeah, Dante was there from the beginning. He hit a lot of dingers.
Vinny Castilla ! He was solid.

My all-time favorite Rockie after Vinny Castilla, Larry Walker, Andres Galarraga, Charlie Hayes, Neifi Perez, Mike Lansing, Dante Bichette, Eric Young, Pedro Astacio and Mike DeJean.

First college football game I attended was the UT-MSU game back in 94. Todd Helton started but got injured. Some dude named Manning replaced him.
