Conservative offense in 4th is fine, but 2nd quarter?

Per the subject, is no one else concerned? I understand running the clock out and going home, but the three and out running attack began in the second and I really would not be surprised if that contributed to more of the fans leaving than the normal half time exodus. A win is a win, but it sucked seeing that auburn team at full throttle while we fell asleep with the bitter taste of the Clemson game still in my mouth.

It begs the question, did we lose the Clemson game just because of offense, or is there a just a strong correlation with losing momentum when trying to run out the clock? (auburn, Clemson, North Carolina, Tennessee05)

You mean when we threw the ball on 1st and 10, 2nd and 2 and 3rd and 2? Because we should have ran the ball

It was raining. Up to that point..Hill was running all over them.
This is a simple concept to grasp...Why do you people freak the hell out?

Plus it rained hardest in the 2nd qtr I believe

Two of which were wins, one was after a draining emotional man made disaster that crippled the state

Let's see ... up 21-0, pouring rain, Auburn has shown no ability to (A) stop the run or (B) mount any semblance of an offense. Yep, you're right ... game plan sucked.

I was there and it was raining like a muthaf_cker in the second qtr. Why don't you arm chair perfectionists give it a break. We beat a good team by 14 in a monsoon and did not get as many people hurt as Auburn did...

I heard this slow down crap all day yesterday and do you realize Mett threw for more yards in second half than first. Fake FG, yeah that's conservative! Haters gonna hate!

Oh yeah "did we lose the Clemson game just because of offense?" No, we let Clemson run 100 offensive plays and ran out of gas and still only lost on a last second drive... I have never heard of another game where the other team ran 100 plays.

We threw the ball on 5 out of our 11 first downs in the 3rd quarter

Look, its entirely reasonable to be suspicious after seeing a long needed offensive presence this season suddenly begin to look like years past at certain points in this game. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but my opinion is that cam Cameron unleashes hell on opponents for three games and then, in the first sec game, AT TIMES, it felt like Lester was calling plays and that is scary. I thought the overall offense was fantastic, but from a playcalling perspective, it felt like les at times. You're right, I am freaking out, because I don't want to see cam bring is to a 14pt lead at half versus a team like Georgia, then Lester saying let's burn the clock, then, if Georgia comes back, us not be able to turn it back on.

I really didn't even notice a change in the play calling. Seemed like AU just figured out how to stop the same plays they couldn't stop early on.

I agree with the poster. We tend to take our foot off the gas too early and let teams hang around. It completely kills our momentum. Once you lose momentum, it's hard to get it back.

I simply don't get why Les won't run our regular offense and go for the jugular when he has the chance. One day, we'll lose a game because of it.

First play of the FOURTH quarter was a fuggin TD pass. Next possession in the FOURTH quarter, we ran twice for a first then threw 2 of the next three plays before punting, all while up 21 in the FOURTH QUARTER.

There's a bunch of no nothing asshats in this fanbase that dream up shite to bash LSU about.

What's funny, when the defense does well,
CHAVIS
When the offense does well, CAM
Regardless of which one does poorly, BOO LES. Friggin morons have no clue.

as I have posted several times already... I heard on the post game that Auburn coming into this game had only allowed 16 pts in the third qtr and no points in the fourth qtr. Obviously they have made adjustments at half.

In the 2nd quarter LSU called 7 passes and 8 runs. The difference is that of those 7 passes called, only 1 was complete. There were 2 incompletes, 1 sack, and 3 rush for no gain by Mett which are basically sackes.

So it's not that we really changed the philosophy, Auburn just made some adjustments and slowed us down pretty good.

When did he not run the "regular offense", and thanks for proving my point. If it's successful, CAM. If not, Damn Miles.
