It's all taking place over the course of events throughout Barney and Robin's Wedding.

I only started watching this show about a year ago thanks to Netflix, but I'm all caught up. I don't resent it the way many of you on this board do, so I'm excited to see the final season and how they bring everything together.

My wishful thinking:
Ted marries this chick. Then, the moment that he is finally happy, Bob Saget happens. Bob swoops in, bangs Ted's Wife, fathers "Ted"'s 2 kids on the couch, and then kills Ted "Highlander" style to claim his power and his memories.

The first episode was pretty mediocre. I really liked the second one though, especially the interactions between Ted and the hotel guy.

Bad episode. Robin flying away might have been the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
They were pretty much saying for that episode - Let's take our successful comedy, take out all the funny parts, and replace them with disgustingly corny ****.
I liked the past girlfriends calling Ted out on his crap, but otherwise the episode sucked.

That was a terrible finale. The whole season being set in Farhampton was rendered meaningless. Zero payoff for Ted waiting to meet his soulmate. She was an afterthought in this episode.
The writers completely butchered what should've been a layup. The finale could've been the whole wedding reception with some flash forwards but Ted doesn't get to meet/see Tracy until the end of the wedding.
Just terrible.

I never could get into this show, for some reason.

Just finished watching. I mean I don't mind HOW it ended, but the journey to that point was a waste. Execution was terrible and I just kind of said meh.
Wasted opportunities. As a whole the show is great, but man the last season was a let down and the final episode didn't really fix that.

So weird bump but I finally checked out the finale. Didn't care for it, a bit of a cop out if you ask me.
