Breaking Bad hasn't won as many awards as I expected either. Aaron Paul AND Bryan Cranston...c'mon man. Must be a bunch of politicking and butt-kissing behind the scenes

maybe because it isn't as good as people make it seem?

I wouldn't even say that. Just that there are other quality shows out there and other quality actors. BB is great isn't the end all, be all.

The biggest travesty? The fact that Jon Hamm still hasn't won an individual award for Mad Men.

Nope. It is the best show currently on TV. There's a strong argument for it being the best drama ever.

It's obvious you've never watched. You should give it a shot. It's brilliant.

that's the thing. i'm sure it's a great show, but there are a lot of those out there right now. hard for any single show to stand out more than others.

This is easily the toughest competition for dramas right now. And that's not a knock on BB. There are just that many that are that good. You can make a pretty good argument for any of those guys and shows in those categories.

Agreed. Although I'm in the camp that once GoT finishes its 7-8 seasons that it will be one of the best HBO shows thus far. Like in Sopranos Wire territory.

it's on the list. it was a legit question i was asking. there's so much good tv out there right now, so it may just be another very good show amongst the other very good shows. but to those who vote, it just may not stand out as much as the others.

it seems people have really started getting behind it only very recently. seems like the cult following started within the past year. so were the first few seasons as amazing as the past few?

LOL

It's the best show on TV by far. One of the best dramas of all time.

Cranston had been nominated 3 times for BB before this year and won all 3 times. I believe the only season he wasn't nominated was on some technicality about when the show aired.

Aaron Paul had won twice already and the show has gotten better each season. Thats why people are surprised.

So is it not possible that someone had a better season than him? No offense, but having watched Boardwalk Empire I don't know how anyone could be upset that Bobby Cannavale won instead. He was pretty incredible last season.
