Terrance Magee is our second best RB

I may be stating the obvious to some, but It will be interesting to see if the "miles is too loyal to seniors/juniors" crowd get something to bitch about with our RB situation...
Bottom line, JH is obviously the best currently and Magee is right there with a great burst, good vision and good finishes to his runs...Blue looks tentative and Hillard seems to have lost a step since his freshman year.
I am interested to see who gets 2nd most reps...

according to the # of carries from the last game, the coaching staff agrees.

Except that Hill is a sophomore...

Hill and Magee should get all the snaps going forward

Since we must have something to bitch about.....
Why have Les Miles, Stud, and Frank Wilson left this kid on the bench for the last 2 years?

Magee hits the hole were more speed than any of them. Hill is very shifty for his size. It seems like Blue has trouble making the first guy miss if the hole isn't huge. KH27 is just caught up in a numbers game and he isn't very explosive. I would like to see some sets with him at fullback and hill or magee behind him. Im sure they have that in the playbook for when they need it.

and they probably will.

Blue, obviously, is not back all the way....Hill has been very effective but looks leg heavy and pretty much has been running through gaping holes....Magee,IMO, has been our most complete and balanced back....Hilliard, so far, has only been as good as the oline in front of him.
bottom line....we are in good shape at RB and if our oline continues to improve and stays healthy we will force opposing DC's to rethink their schemes.
get better, get ready...get even.

Blue and Hilliard are VERY good backs. It's just an embarrassment of riches! Clearly Hill is the best. After that it's more about what style you like. Magee fits Cam's style.

I don't think too many people would argue against the statement that Hill and Magee are the two best backs right now. Especially in terms of explosiveness and breaking long runs.
That said, it's a long season and there is a lot of tough football ahead. It may well be smart not to overuse any one back in these early games. Once they have enough carries to keep them in game shape I don't see a problem with letting them rest in blowout games. (especially after they've gone over 100).
Blue I think still has the ability to turn 1-2 yard gain into a 4-5 yard gain which may come in handy against some of the more stout defenses we run up against. (If there is such a thing as a stout defense anymore in today's college football). Hilliard just seems to have been bypassed by hotter backs.

Glad to have 4 RB's that can play, but it seems that Hill & Magee are way more special than Blue & Hilliard.
I know, my RB's observation is earth shaking.

Did you miss Th at cutback he made for the touchdown that called back for chop block or something.? I was sitting in S. End zone that was incredible move

Hill and Mcgee are the only ones who accelerate at the line, that is what separates them. I think that Hillard will improve throughout the season though.
