Hayfield Parking...now controlled by parking nazis!

Seriously?
-------In an effort to maximize the space in the Levee and Hayfield Lots, LSU will have parking attendants on hand to assist drivers to a parking spot. Fans will have the option of parking close to the entrance of the lot or closer to the stadium.
Fans will not be able to choose their specific space when parking in either of these free lots.
---------
This has been our tailgate spot for several years, and now they decide to do this??

The lots are smaller in size than in previous years(due to construction), the grass was not cut before last weekend, the portable toilets were only placed along the soccer field boundary(thus far fewer units), and the trees that provided shade for our tailgate the last several years have been cut down. Now, parking police?
I think Joe Alleva is making it less and less desirable to park for free.

Just now learning LSU is full of Nazis?

Hey! I'm in favor of LSU giving parking priority to the people who actually have tickets to the game over the bums who just come out to tailgate. No ticket to the game? You can park at Farr Park, the Waste Management plant or BR beach. Certainly would open up some more parking spots on campus

They were cool with us last weekend. Fed them and they hung out for about an hour. Nice guys

I agree. Those same people without tickets are also bitching about traffic and having to pay to park and pay for their trailer.

don't forget these are the same fake tiger fans who leave the parking spots at halftime.

I beat them in the lot before they even started patrolling. Only thing they asked me is if I had someone else coming to fill in a gap between two other vehicles of people at my tailgate.

Last week wasn't a problem. This week sounds like e they will have people directing the whole time. Not just the constables riding around

That sucks that your tailgate spot got messed up, but to be fair, it's a parking lot, not a tailgating lot. It's also one of the few free lots left, so I'm glad LSU decided to maximize the amount of parking spots.
If all you were doing was setting up a spot in the lot, it shouldn't be too difficult to find another place to do that.

Proving once again LSU fans will complain about anything....

We can only hope that it doesn't become controlled like the lot next to Walk On's where you are not allowed to set up a tailgate. The powers that be have to realize that there are only so many available tailgating spots in the non-parking areas so tailgating should be allowed in "parking" lots as well, with the understanding that the people will be reasonable with the space that is taken up for a tailgate.

I don't need someone to tell me where to park in a hay field. It's a waste of resources especially considering they have a shuttle

quote:Yes you do. LSU doesn't need a bunch of drunks in a wild, unorganized parking free for all doing their own thing. That's ripe for disaster.

NO I DON'T
And I've never seen a situation where there needed to be oversight in that lot.
Wild, unorganized, parking free for all? Park your fricking car and go to the game.......how hard is it? I used to park in a pasture for a Daytona race with 50 thousand other cars that had one entrance/exit, if we all made it out of there the rest of the world can survive in grass lots.

I don't see the problem, really. Walt Disney World and the SEC Tournament in Hoover used parking ushers and it works swimmingly. And didn't someone say there are shuttles? Quit your bitching or pay up.
