What was going on with our D that let UAB take it to them like that?

We had a ton of 2's and 3's in. I think we let the lead get to our heads

Our defense is not going to just stop folks all the time this year, we need to get that through our heads.
But seriously, who cares when we'll be RUTS on everyone?

they changed things up and attacked our CBs and OLBs with tosses. obviously something we didn't expect
the TD pass was just pretty much perfect and that WR was pretty fast and just burned collins. it happens

People need to stop trying to find threads to pull.
The team isn't going to be perfect. The game was clearly in hand and they subbed in freshmen and otherwise inexperienced players. Had we kept pouring it on they would've scored at least 80.
I don't think the D is as purely talented as we've had in the past but what we saw was a product of complacency + inexperience. That isn't going to happen vs an Alabama or TA&M.
So our D isn't all world anymore. It's merely pretty good. I'll take a pretty good D with this offense.

radio announcer said UAB went to 2 TE's on one side + pulling guards while LSU had 2nd,3rd stringers in. that's all I heard

No we didn't. Tre White was the only one in at that point in the game. I was looking at that every play because I wanted to see some younger guys.

We weren't playing our best.
Can you please change the thread title to "dominant" not dominate.

That was Mills that got burned this time.
Collins was not covering the run well and did not play the second half. Tredavious White came in as well as others and got 6 tackles...

Seems like Collins gets burned deep at least once a game.
When he lost contain on that outside run

Yeah it looked like they did stuff we hadn't seen on film, getting to the outside.

Here it is start a thread to start a thread. I guess you weren't watching UAB's first 4 offensive sets, they had a total of 4 yards of offense!!! I don't know about anyone else but that is pretty f*cking good. We get up 28 points and they let off the gas a little, I am ok with it. Intensity is going to drop off a little when you know this team can't beat you. Stop worrying our defense looks great, they need to work out the LB situation as to who are the 3 that need to be on the field, once that is done we be good, really good!!!

DBU - with White and Robinson waiting in the wings, something tells me we will be alright!!!

Umm Beckwith was in for sure and I think Phillips. They were getting washed down by blockers.

Don't you mean "dominant"?

Jalen Mills got smoked. Collins had issues covering the edge.

In the post game presser Les said it was a young player out of position.
