It's true. I could have avoided all these problems if Meyer had just run the score up

And you know this how? Because they didn't beat LSU in 2007?
Wow someone is a little butt hurt.
I don't "know" that they aren't one of the 5 best teams in college football. No one does. Clearly that is my opinion. I watched most of the teams in the top 11 teams play this weekend. They weren't impressive. It isn't just me. Most of the commentators that I saw make their predictions don't have Ohio State in their top 5. But yeah, keep crying about 2007 because I don't think Ohio State is a top 5 team.
For the record, Ohio State would have been an underdog against 6 SEC teams, Oregon and Stanford this weekend. That is coming from Vegas.

Brah, who really cares what posters on TD think of Ohio State.

Very curious about OU and Texas going forward. They both needed to come out and have blowout wins, and they both achieved that.

I didn't put NOT in capital letters when I said OSU was NOT a top 5 team. I am not butthurt but no one knows today who a top 5 team is or isn's. Texas looked better than Bama; are you taking them on a neutral field tomorrow? How bout FSU or Clemson? I know I'm taking Bama in all 3 of those games even if Bama didn't look as good in game 1

Good, I wouldn't trust you to pay up after FSU spanks that arse

Actually, at this moment, those would be interesting matchups. Bama's OL was flat out bad. As a result, the entire offense was very anemic. Take away an amazing kickoff return, a punt return, and a pick 6 and the game with VT is a lot different.
Until their OL proves they can perform better than they did on Saturday (which I think they will) a matchup featuring Bama-FSU or Bama-Clemson on neutral field would be might interesting.

I still don't think I'm taking them in a pick-em today. I want FSU and Clemson to be good, so we can see some semblance of order return to the CFB universe. When FSU/Miami/Clemson are good, along with OSU/Michigan/ND, and the west coast does its part, it makes CFB just so much stronger across the board

Pick the point spread

1. Clemson - Big win against a quality opponent. I don't see an argument that anyone has looked more impressive in week 1.
2. LSU - Offense looks much improved against a solid TCU defense
3. Bama - Struggled on offense, but we'll find out soon enough where we stand against A&M
4. FSU - Easily dismantled Pitt, can't wait to see them play Clemson in October
5. Louisville - They've probably peaked in my rankings because they don't play anybody all season and everyone else will move past them with quality wins. That being said Bridgewater looked amazing in week 1.
On the waiting list: Oregon (no reward for dismantling Nichol State), Oklahoma (looked great and should be a good season), South Carolina (they can break the top 5 with a win over UGA)

Well if their QB plays anywhere near like he did last night for the rest of the season, I think you will get your wish here

They seem to be pretty legit. Only question will be if they slip up and lose to someone that they shouldn't lose to. The Clemson/FSU game should be pretty epic. Starting to see some of these big matchups around college football like LSU/Bama has been for a couple years now. Standford/Oregon, Notre Dame/Michigan and now FSU/Clemson.

Ohio state would get crushed by any SEC school, Oregon and FSU.

Ohio states performance against top tier SEC schools in the title games, their road trip to USC and their OOC schedule combined with the strength and reputation of the Big Ten being so poor, I don't consider Ohio St talent wise a top tier program. Great program and tradition but I put them in the same category as Notre Dame.
