Never been but heard great things about it, well had to go pick up my daughter from a friends in Crowley so stopped in to check it out... They have some amazing looking things( pork tenderloin stuffed with cream cheese and jalapeños, wrapped in bacon for example ) . Anyway i told the guy i was just looking and would come back friday because i didnt want to buy anything frozen. He them gave me a little bag with a boudin ball and a cracklin just so i could taste. They were amazing and i decided to buy some beef jerky right there, best decision ever
Gotta go, my ten year old is about to eat the whole bag

Went to Don's Specialty Meats in Crowley for the first time today on the way back from Lake Charles. Got boudin balls, cracklins, pork rinds, burgers, chicken patties and stew meat. That place was all kinds of busy.

Try the smoked boudin and those little pies on the shelf across from the register are money.

You wrapped the boudin in the casing?

That beef jerky is amazing! If you can get the cracklings from Dons hot, straight from the kitchen it almost melts in your mouth. Food orgasm worthy!

You should have gone to Billy's

Billy's boudin balls, especially the pepper jack cheese ones, make that stop a necessity.

Did you say pepper jack boudin balls??

Yep, a boudin ball with a cube of PJ cheese melted in the middle
They're awesome.
Billy's batter looks like fried chicken batter. Their boudin balls look like a drumstick with the handle missing
