Good post.
Well-thought out.
Our younger, ADD/tldr posters should just be excused so they can go color their walls with crayons

Bloviating is obnoxious. That's the point being made in a tldr post. Only self absorbed ego maniacs post a 200 word narrative about one game. Get over it
Edit: unless you get paid to

Blowing TCU out of the water would not have given them the same experience. That game gave the Tigers a great opportunity to grow on so many levels
Good point.

Yeah, executing in all phases of the game and playing error free football is overrated. Everyone celebrate inconsistency!

after rewatching, we score TD's on our first two possesions if not for pass interference. Normally I side on the side of DB's on close calls but after rewatching, those weren't close calls.

Greetings fellow fanatics! It's a happy week to be a Tiger fan! IMHO, there is really no way that we could have realistically expected the TCU game to go any better! You all know that I'm long winded so don't start nothing you can't finish here guys. First and foremost, I am honor bound to praise TCU before ranting about LSU's good points. The Horned Frogs were an undersized team with great all around athletic ability at every single position. The biggest thing that I respect about that team is their heart. We all saw the huge size difference on the field. On TCU's first drive, I swear that many of the LSU defensive players looked like they toned down their hits because they didn't want to hurt them! Well that certainly did not last because those players instantly demanded every ounce of respect from our physically superior Tigers. I'll bet that they even taught a few of our younger cubs a thing or two about heart. I'm talkin' about the kind of heart that an undersized center has to have to stare big Ego in the face without flinching right after going 2 or 3 snaps against big Freak! Those guys had the same kind of heart that compels the Honey Badger to prove every team that passed him up in the draft that they made a HUGE mistake. Yes, they definitely earned the respect of our players and they deserve our utmost respect . We need to give their fans our utmost respect and let them all know that they have a great team and coach. That team earned it on offense and defense! I would have never thought that their DL was going to be able to hang that well all game long and even after they were forced to stop stacking the box due to Mett's arm. While on the subject of respect, Les, Coach Cam and the Chief are all getting great props for the team's performance against TCU. Although I think that LSU will be facing at least three secondaries that are all around better than TCU.s, the bottom line is that Mett was amazing when he needed to be... especially on third downs. I didn't let his early success get me to excited because a team of LSU's caliber is supposed to play pitch and catch when their opponent stacks the box. What impressed me was that the whole offense was obviously improved in every way that I was hoping to see. We always hear about how the staff is trying to improve on the team's weak points from the year before when a season kicks off but Coach Cam and staff have absolutely succeeded in taking the offense to the level that a championship team needs. And guys, don't let the drops get ya down, Mett's improved consistency will allow the receivers to get their rhythm. Last year I'll bet that the receivers were often wide eyed when a ball went their way but this year it should turn into business as usual when a nice pass comes their way... at least I hope that it will. LSU has benefited from an defense that has fielded nfl caliber talent at every single position for a while now. We see 4 or more of our Tigers defensive stars from last year starting in their very first game of the NFL regular season as rookies! This team was ranked out

Our sophomore cb's did very well against some very very quick and slippery receivers! That says alot for cbs who were sometimes 4 or 5 inches taller than their opponents! LSU is still DBU but the rest of the country just doesn't know it yet. Most of the analysts saw it too though. They saw the huge size difference. They saw the passion and speed that TCU played with on both sides of the ball. Almost every article that I have seen made it a point to say that the Tigers could have blown TCU out if only a few miscues would have been avoided. But our boys had heart too. The Tiger players know that they are championship caliber across the board. They also believe that they can win it all if they come together to the best of their ability. The TCU game has obviously solidified the offenses faith in Coach Cam and reassured the defensive squad that they can have faith in the guys next to them. We saw how the TCU QB forced the defense to come together and play assignment football out of necessity. I am proud to be a Tiger after watching the defense play with heart and respect for their opponent. They could have tried to bully those undersized guys but they respected them and gave them a pat on the arse when they deserved one (even when they closed the deficet to 3 pts midway through the 4th qtr. They appreciated their opponent's heart and that impressed me when I think about how I might have acted at the age of 19 in a situation like that. There is no way in hell that I can write enough praise to truly represent how I feel about both teams after the game and that feeling has not faded one bit. TCU was the perfect opponent for this team. They were more than an opportunity for the Tigers to get some game speed reps. They were a worthy opponent who would have definitely beaten LSU if the Tigers would not have shown heart of their own and great improvement in the weakest aspect of their overall game from the last few years. There is only one other team in this nation that could handle losing that many defensive stars that well in their very first game Congratulations to both teams for a very successful opening game. TCU has forced me to become a fan of theirs. Their HC might be a douche but he has his players playing like they believe themselves to be worthy of a crystal ball right now even though they would be massively undersized against any team that they would have to face in California this coming January! And a huge bucket of props to CLM's 2013 Tiger squad! The media has already declared the LSU Tigers to be looking like they have absorbed the massive losses to the NFL on their roster. Those responsible for placing the Tigers out of the top ten in preseason polls are already craw fishing and showing signs of regretting putting A+M above LSU after just the first week. But there is still a lot of work to do and we Tiger fans still know a few things that the so called professional analysts aren't smart enough (or brave enough) to see right in front of their own eyes. We all know that the Tigers are going to give Bama their toughest test of the year as usual. We still remember that LSU does well at Bama's house even though Bama does well at ours. Does LSU have a tough schedule again? Yup Can LSU run that table in 2013? Oh yeah, and TCU was the best team that they could have started with IMO. Blowing TCU out of the water would not have given them the same experience. That game gave the Tigers a great opportunity to grow on so many levels that I truly believe that this year will be special. Yeah, I said it and I ain't taking it back. All of you faithless butt munchin' fairies that were predicting three losses this year can kiss Big Dick's Josh Boutte!

we need another more reliable WR to play opposite Landry. Would like to see Wright or Boone be given more opportunities. OBJ is spectacular at times but dropped 2 long passes that should have been caught.
