Remember he may not know yet who he wants to pick. Remember T Bower said he thought it was Auburn and then a few minutes before he decided he choose LSU. I think the announcement is more of doing this before the season moreso than picking Bama or LSU.

Announcing this early to 'bama would not be a smart thing to do. Would get lots of flack no matter where he goes in Monroe or anywhere in La. Who would want that and who would do it with lots of LSU fans around? Think he put out smoke screen so "experts" would predict 'bama. Think it is LSU. Mama is happy too!
