I do believe kids should stay home as long as the program contends for the NC every year. We would win with all La., kids IMO

Because Alabama will give their mother a job.

Many of them can get a free education at a better school. Most of the ones who leave have never had the opportunity to experience anything but Louisiana and may just want to expand their horizons.
Ding Ding Ding.
I came to Louisiana for school from another state, had a good experience, learned a lot about another part of the country as well as myself. Graduated and then promptly left. I've lived in a few places that are all different from each other. Southern California, Virginia, Louisiana and Seattle. I would say I am a better person for it and would encourage anyone else to do the same if afforded the opportunity.

I would not want to live anywhere in America other than Louisiana, but I don't play football.

Also, there are some phenomenal schools in this country. How could you fault anyone for WANTING to go and QUALIFYING for Stanford, Vanderbilt, Duke, Northwestern, Rice, etc.
I will not make fun of op... your statement above though true leaves out the elephant (no pun intended) in the room... Alabama.
It is reasonable to expect to lose a few players to OOS schools especially to schools that have specific curriculums better suited to the interest of the student athlete.
However, it is quite obvious that the poster is referring to the current La. recruits considering Alabama and the few that left over the last couple of years.
I dont believe that the current recruits from La. and the others that have recently signed with Alabama were looking for the best Engineering program or the best International Banking curriculum.
I also think that it is safe to assume that they were not looking for a picturesque change of scenery if they are considering or have signed with Alabama. Alabama is beutiful but lets be realistic here.
The current La. recruits and those that have already left for Alabama are going for one reason...To ball for Saban. Me, being a lifetime LSU fan has nothing to do with their decision. I'm sure that some of these guys could care less about instate loyalty.
If it makes you feel any better, most of the La players do feel a certain amount of instate pride and are honored to be Tigers.
Lastly, you cannot overlook the fact that Alabama is Bat shite crazy about football and the players moving up through the system there are practically institutionalized the Alabama way. This is not so much the case in La. LSU is not for behind on the scale though. Its just that Football there is like a Religion. Personally, I think its borderline insane how they act over there but whatever.
All that being said without mention of other influences like coaches, etc... It makes me want to puke when I see players leave Louisiana to go to Alabama.

kids naturally tend to push back when they are pushed to do something that's not necessarily their idea, espn tries to convince them that Alabama is the place to be . It's one of the biggest reasons why our young man push back a little bit when people encourage them to come to LSU, you recruits never mind sabin, alabama want know you when you are gone, Here at home you will be alife long hero. at Alabama they won't know you when
When you are gone !
