Does Robinson make the team?
I'd think that next weeks game will tell us one way or the other. If Robinson gets more carries with the first or second team, that should let us know what the coaching staff thinks of him as compared to Cadet.

Unless I missed something he hasn't run with the 1s yet... I'd suggest we wait and see how he does if he gets 1st team carries before we jump off the ledge.

I doubt he gets carries with the 1s. So far, Ingram and Sproles have played with the starters, Cadet has come in with the second unit and Robinson has come in with the 3rd.
I'd think Cadet and Robinson will play most of the 3rd game as starters rarely play. But if Robinson starts getting carries in the 4th game with the 2s, I'd think he has a decent chance of making the team.
Of course that is if he continues to play well and Cadet doesn't.

And Sean never kept Cadet in the first place, just saying
Good point.

Starters generally play the entire first half and sometimes a series of the third quarter in the third preseason game.

pivotal game for Cadet this week. As pointed out, whoever comes in first next week is more likely to be the 53 guy. The outside factor is KR being practice squad eligible.
He's getting noticed nationally. espn fantasy take-
I'll go ahead and admit right now I'm not overly familiar with West Texas A&M, the school where this rookie played. His sizzle reel looks good, but so does everyone's, and Robinson is taking a more massive step up than most, going from Division II to the NFL. Not only that, but the Saints are still frustratingly stocked at RB, with Mark Ingram, Pierre Thomas and Darren Sproles. But Chris Ivory is gone to the New York Jets, and Robinson evokes Ivory, both in size and power. In mop-up duty through two exhibition games, Robinson has jumped off the screen (albeit against scrubs) in a similar way that Ivory did back in '10. There's not much breakaway threat in Robinson, but at 6 feet and 220 pounds, he looks like a punishing player to tackle. As was the case with Ivory over the past three seasons, it would take an injury to the players ahead of him for Robinson to be anything close to fantasy relevant. But the fact that some Saints followers have him jumping ahead of Travaris Cadet on the depth chart (remember Cadet's preseason hype last year?) is interesting. I don't rule out the possibility that Robinson hits the practice squad, but at this point, I actually think he makes the team.

I think so. He's a better pure runner than Cadet from what I've seen so far. Cadet is slow as shite hitting holes. It seems like his feet move 100mph and he goes nowhere with cement feet. Always see a big hole and thinking to myself he's about to bust a big run and all of a sudden he gets hit at the los because he take so long to hit the gap. Cadet is a decent replacement for Sproles and that might be what they're looking at. Ingram can replace PT and Cade can replace Sproles. Not sure they want another mean power guy on at RB.
Although, Ingram is completely useless. If we could get rid of him then Robinson could earn a spot.

I'm tired of seeing him run into the arse of our lineman. I wish we got rid of him over Ivory.

I was just wondering what everyones opinion of Robinson was. Myself i think Cadet has been passed up. Also as others have stated SP didn't bring Cadet in. IMO Cadet gets cut.
