Cook in cast iron skillet on the grill after marinating in some minced garlic, salt, pepper, and some cab for a couple hours. Heat up skillet and dump contents. 3 or 4 min each side. Take off and cut thinly. Grill some corn tortillas and top with whatever you like such as sour cream, slaw, chimichurri sauce, cheese

Slightly freeze them to make it easier to slice them. Then slice those suckers as thin as you can and make Philly cheese steak sammiches with them. Onions, peppers, mushrooms and some cheese sauce and a good French loaf.

Age them in the frige for a month.
Just kidding about an old thread. Grind up and make some good burgers. Add some bacon fat to moisten up.

This thread kind of makes me want to stop by Wally World and get some cheapos and see what I can do with them.

I would cook them down and make grits and grillades.

Pound em thin and make chicken fried steak.

Somebody left a hunk of beef at my house; this thread has been an inspiration for a gravy.

Chicken fried steak, bruh.
I had a friend buy frozen steaks from one of those steak companies and he chicken fried them. They were horrible steaks, but AWESOME chicken fried steaks.

I would still eat it like a regular ribeye. But if you want to do something different, slice them up thin and make philly cheesesteaks.

Im not opposed to eating like a regular ribeye but it is going to need some kind of marinade or else it will have no flavor. I am still open to marinade or spice ideas. I like the s&p garlic and cab combo. Might try that tonight.

Hard to beat fresh cracked pepper and Tonys.
Try tequila and cilantro.

I think it's really good.
This is one I've posted before using a flat iron but you could do the same thing with a ribeye.
quote:
1 (2 pound) steak
2 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
1/4 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh chives
1/4 cup Cabernet Sauvignon
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard powder
quote:
Place the steak inside of a large resealable bag. In a small bowl, stir together the olive oil, garlic, parsley, rosemary, chives, Cabernet, salt, pepper and mustard powder. Pour over the steak in the bag. Press out as much air as you can and seal the bag. Marinate in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the steak in the hot skillet for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, or to your desired degree of doneness. Discard the marinade. These steaks taste best at medium rare. Allow them to rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
This is the recipe I've done a couple times. One time I ate it like a regular steak and the other time I made steak tacos. I did not use ground mustard but otherwise followed the recipe.

This is what I came here to say. Cheese. Mmmm. Steak. Mmmm.
How can you argue against putting the two together?

I dug thru a pile of those steaks this week. I found a pack with some pretty nice fat..not necessarily marbled, but enough fat to add good flavor and keep moist.
I just salt, pepper, garlic powdered and grilled mid rare.....came out pretty good. Not like 13.00 prime, but not too damn bad.

Dice them into small cubes about 1/4". Brown them in a skillet with some oil. Remove the cooked steak. Add a little more oil. Sauté some diced onion, add some diced fresh tomato and a diced fresh jalapeño along with some minced garlic. Pour in about a half cup of beef broth, put the meat back in and let it reduce.
Add some diced cilantro at the end and serve on warm tortillas with sour cream and cheese.
It's great leftover as well.
