Reading this article in another thread and I can't help but wonder if Jeremy Hill understands that Les Miles is taking a public relations beating by media and college football fans all around the country because of his actions.

quote:

Consider that this summer, Miles opted to let his players vote on whether or not to discipline troubled running back Jeremy Hill.

That aricle is on nfl.com about Tyran Mathieu, yet it puts Les Miles in a bad light because Miles is bending over backwards to keep Hill around. I hope all of these players, not just Hill, are learning that a single person's actions can negatively affect more than just yourself. At some point you have to figure out that playing big time athletics means that you have more to lose than Joe College Student.

Honestly no. I don't think these kids think about that much. If they do they don't give a shite about it.

He gave Mathieu more chances than Hill. The MSM is retarded.

I see where you are coming from, but honestly this "Hit" isn't as big of a deal as you think it is.

It's still the summer. Games haven't started. Press needs something to talk about. Once the season begins you won't hear much about it anymore.

The complete ignorance displayed by "writers" over the Hill shite has been ridiculous. Do these idiots really believe that Les left it all up to the team?

What I think is that Hill is or was looking to have a big year and hit the road to the NFL, and I think he will do that regardless.

Just to add, I don't think that Hill should suspended from the team very long. If he plays vs TCU, I won't have a problem with it. If he sits a game or two, so be it.

You're asking if a guy who runs up behind another man and sucker punches him is contemplative by nature?

No, he's not giving it much thought IMHO.

When I worked at LSU, I remember writing "Drug Counseling" contracts for thousands of dollars, all for the football team. I remember thinking....some dude must have some serious heroin addiction to need this many treatments.

Turns out, like 5 months later Mathieu was suspended and thrown out. He rarely showed up to any of them.

Honestly, I think the Hill situation will blow over once the season starts. Especially if Hill doesn't play the first game or so.

For this to really blow up in Miles face, Hill will have to get arrested again. Worst case scenario would be for Hill to pull a Legarrette Blount.

It's not Miles fault the media is fricking retarded and wants hits on their web pages and tv shows. I'm sure Miles and Hill are handling this just fine by ignoring all dumb arse media.

Hill fricked up and has been given a chance to redeem himself. Hill and Miles have this under control and give no fricks about the media. Miles has taken a lot worse media beating before.

A better question might be does he give a shite??

Answer to your question is NO. Hill is an immature selfish individual. I don't know the kid and don't want to know him. His actions speak volumes.

Honestly, I would bet no. Most of the kids are are pretty oblivious to that. That's why they make the types of mistakes they do in the first place.

It's not Hill's fault that what's being reported is inaccurate and often an outright lie.

It is apparent Jeremy has no idea that his actions have consequences for him. Why would he understand these actions have consequences for others as well?

It's not as a big deal to Miles as it is to some others.

Of allllllllllll the stuff he has to deal with, the reaction of others to what happens with Hill is probably wayyyyyyy down on his list of things to worry bout.

Miles doesn't impress me as a man who lets the little stuff bother him.
