LSU Football in odd numbered years since 2000

It's amazing the success LSU has had in odd numbered years since 2000. In those 6 seasons, LSU has:
2 National Championships
3 NC Game appearances
4 SEC Championships
5 SECCG appearances
Final rankings of 1,1,2,5 and 7
On the flip side, in even years, LSU has never made the SECCG and has finished unranked twice and finished 16th once.
In fact, the only odd year LSU hasn't made it to Atlanta in this time frame is '09. What do all these years have in common? Well, the big 4 permanent opponents on LSU's schedule every year are Florida, Bama, Arkansas and Auburn. On odd years all of these games are at home, with the exception of Bama, who everyone knows LSU beats more on the road than at home for some reason. Also, LSU is 4-1 vs Georgia (2-0 reg season) during those years as well (LSU plays @ Athens this year). Here's how the years shake up:
2001 (SEC Champions, Sugar Bowl Champions, Final Rank 7):
Florida: L
@ Bama: W
Arkansas: W
Auburn: W
2003 (SEC Champions, National Champions, Final Rank 1):
Florida: L
@ Bama: W
Arkansas: W
Auburn: W
Georgia: W
Georgia: W (ATL)
2005 (Katrina Year, SEC Championship Game, Peach Bowl Champs, Final Rank 5):
Florida: W
@ Bama: W
Arkansas: W
Auburn: W
Georgia: L (ATL)
2007 (SEC Champions, National Champions, Final Rank 1):
Florida: W
@ Bama: W
Arkansas: L
Auburn: W
2009 (Should've been Ryan Perrilloux's Sr. Season, Final Rank 17):
Florida: L
@ Bama: L
Arkansas: W
Auburn: W
Georgia: W
2011 (SEC Champions, NCG Appearance, Final Ranking #2):
Florida: W
@ Bama: W
Arkansas: W
Auburn: W
Georgia: W (ATL)

That was actually some pretty cool analysis for a random anomaly that everyone always points out but fails to analyze.

Looks like a national championship coming this way.

So you're saying there is a chance?
Yeah!
Yeah!

This is just insane. I did my own investigation in player numbers; check it out:

Couple of factors:
We get UF at home which has been traditionally our toughest East opponent
For whatever reason we also seem to play Bama better on the road
I think looking at those 2 outcomes explains a lot

Nice work. Let's hope the odd year trend continues.

The only years where we havent exceeded the previous year's win totals are the years after NC appearances. Saw that in a link somewhere a few weeks ago.
Last season we won 10, down from 12 in 2012.
IDK how the talent flux factors in to all that but TIFWIW.

I hate you, you filthy bastard. I was going to make a very similar post about the lizards and pure unadulterated evil and you beat me to it.

We also get Auburn at home. (look to the 2006 game) Just sayin.

We split the games at Bama and Georgia and go undefeated at home ... We will be in Atlanta for sure and hopefully Pasadena after that!
