Thoughts?
I actually respect Miles more after listening to him speak about the situation yesterday. I think he's handled this really well.

How can people sit here and defend Jeremy Hill with the bullcrude of "No one knows what happened" and stupid things like that. If you watch the video you see what happen.
He came up behind a obviously intoxicated guy and sucker punched him as hard as he could and thought it was funny. What a bitch move...... what else is there to see. The guy had just gotten up off the ground.
Les Miles is showing that Jeremy Hill and football are above everyone else and don't need rules when it should be exact opposite. Kids all over the south look up to the Tigers and don't need to look up to a POS like Jeremy Hill

Good. Now that we've gotten that straightened out........

I agree some degree of discipline should take place and yes actually lost a lot of respect for miles if he doesn't come forward with some form of discipline on hill.

Now, I do think he should be suspended for four games. Miles can set the precedent that if you get in a bar fight and get put on probation for that fight, you will miss out on four games.
Just to be clear...what about what Hill did, in your mind, warrants losing 1/4th of this season? He threw one punch, regardless of how ugly it looked on video, that resulted in the guy falling down and getting right back up. Other than potentially to his pride, there was absolutely no lasting damage...and given the small medical bills, they obviously looked him over in the ER and told him to take a Tylenol and go home.
That was the totality of Hill's involvement.
Unless you guys are taking into account Hill's former issue while he was in high school, I see absolutely no reason why one punch warrants this level of outrage by fans...let alone LSU fans. And since Hill was in high school when that issue went down, I see no reason why it ought to be considered when dolling out punishment for an entirely unrelated issue while at LSU. I understand why LEGALLY the two were connected...but where does LSU factor into the first deal...?

Les knows that was a justified punch

Why don't you answer my question?

he was suspended

Responding to the initial post and my answer is no. College sports is a different animal that most of us "civilians" cannot understand. We don't know the entire story and everyone makes mistakes. Having said that, I challenge Hill to make the most of his free pass.

Look...LM runs disciplinary issues in the privacy of his team/organization. That is exactly what any CEO would be doing if anyone broke the moral code of conduct within their organization. Other than what we publicly know (which is a video of the last 2punches and not the entire set of facts), disciplinary decisions should be dealt with privately. That is exactly what he is doing. I applaud him for it.
And I bet the discipline outcome will be pretty harsh...but PRIVATE. I would not want to be Jeremy Hill for the next several weeks.

hes more worried ab winning? yeah ok, he kicked off the best qb to come out of la since eli. and one of the best playmakers to ever dawn an lsu uniform. both cost him bcs titles imo.

Dude... My reply was to Paul Allen

You call 3 months during the summer being "suspended"... there were no real football activity. I'm not saying kick him off the team or suspend a season but for something like that he should at least get a few games
Posted on 8/6/13 at 1:55 pm to EveryonesACoach
No.
Sr got head from a frosh, and dude got in a bar fight.

Some POS mouthed off and called him the N word and got put in his place. Oh and he got his dick sucked in high school. Let's crucify him.
