re: Brees-Payton Presser

Reporter: Drew, do you know your record against them in the last four years?
Drew: "Yes, yes I do" :pimp:
I think he said they will email the injury report to the reporters at 3 instead of talking about them at pressers

Not saying i dont think he can be but theres still a couple guys that or way in front of METT rite now by a mile...but its still real early, but U ever heard of Teddy Bridgewater, Tajh Boyd, Aaron Murray, and that guy @ BAMA, they will all go before METT
Exactly. He had a good game.... 1 good game. To put him above guys that do it week in and week out is dumb. He was still just 16 for 32..... that's just 50% completion. Murray for example was 20 for 29, 323 yrds against a way better team. Tajh Boyd was 18 for 30, 270 and 3 TD again, against a way better team.
It was TCU and it was week 1

Not start but what difference does it make whether he starts or is in there for 75% of the snaps. He's so versatile he will be all over the field. He even said they have a ton od packages for him that wasn't even shown during preseason. Don't be surprised to see Harper lining up at the OLB and us using 3 safeties.

Do you really believe martez will make that much of a difference in pass rush this year?
Yes. The dude is a freak and was super raw two years ago. He fits this scheme better and I believe the sky is the limit for this guy. He really is a physical freak and has all the tools to be very successful

Wtf.........
Maybe this is exactly what Ingram needed. He went in and averages 5.4 ypc last night and the dude still gets nothing but hate. What about it setting the tone for the start of the season with him getting something going.
Robinson had a great game and averaged 5.2 ypc. He is a great asset for us and has a future. He was also against guys who are probably not on the Dolphins roster this morning, but yet you say he is light years ahead of Ingram..... :banghead: Does it hurt to be that dumb?

One of the mysteries of the world are how those nfl.com guys get paid for their "analysis". It's some of the worst reporting you can find out there for football information.
They really really suck, and they probably get paid a lot more than any of us :banghead:

So they magically got people who could tackle and cover someone over the summer???? Don't think so.
Keep being delusional
Keep being delusional
If you think ULL will score less than 21 you are delusional. Watching the Arkansas spring game it is obvious their defense leaves much to be desired.
ULL is returning a the entire back field from last year and a top 10 center in the country, not to mention a WR group that features Jamal Robinson. If you don't know who he is now, you will after Saturday.
And as for as the Defense goes ULL has a new defensive coordinator,James Willis, former LB coach at Auburn then Alabama. Majority of the woes last year were from the crap of a defensive coordinator putting guys in bad positions. They are returning the leading tackler (Anderson) from last year along with the leading sack guy (Ringo). The secondary may be young but the safety position will be more experienced and the CB have been a strong point so for in camp.
So any one who thinks it will not be a close game is trying to psych themselves out.
ULL- 34
Arky- 31

So, in your opinion, Will Smith was a greater asset than a liability on our defense?

Exactly my point.

great insight there ..... :violin:
And if you had a lick of common sense you would see that I said earlier I was torn between feeling bad and excited. Thus explaining where the excited part was coming from

How is being excited that someone, who couldn't cover Rob Ryan coming out of the back field, not playing a bad thing for depth? If anything it helps us, we can keep a guy that would maybe be one of the last ones cut on the roster. We know what Will Smith's potential is and it won't cut it. Some of these rookies have way more upside at this point then he does.
But obviously you feel that sucking at OLB but having Will Smith for depth is a good thing....even though he can't get it done anymore.....right
So...Frick you :doublebird:

Me too...... :dunno:
I want to be excited because of how much of a liability he is on the field, but then I feel bad for the guy
So I guess Coco has his Vaccaro jersey ordered already :pimp:
This Fox guy is all over Jones' junk
Week 1:
Kenny Vaccaro: 3 tackles, 3 assist- 6 combined
Jarvis Jones: 1 tackle, 1 assist- 2 combined
Week 2:
Kenny Vaccaro: 6 tackles!!! 6! and 1 pass defended on 3rd down
Jarvis Jones: 2 tackles, 1 forced fumble (Will Smith would have made that play. I wouldn't say he caused it. Rex pitch+ missed assignment+ bad fullback= fumble)
So through 2 weeks Vaccaro has combined 12 tackles compared to Jarvis Jones 4 tackles.

My exact point..... you proved my point right there by just saying that without the knowledge to even know how you sound and how WRONG you actually are

So please explain how you say I am wrong....... :doublebird:
:whodat:
The people saying they would still take Jones....I doubt their football IQ. Seriously, lets be honest here, that was not a WOW! play...... It was a blown assignment. Will Smith could have easily made that play. Not only was it a blown assignment by the lineman, the fullback looked like a scared 8th grader, and Williams never caught the toss. Don't look more into the play just because Jones got lucky. Vaccaro has already mad more plays then Jones this preseason.
Just stop anointing Jones for stupid little things :spank:

Yea I was expecting a pat down but at Gate C they didn't pat anyone down just used the wands. I was surprised to see this.
Also they are very inconsistent with the bag rule. I saw some ladies with small purse things walking around the stadium but at the same time I saw another lady get turned away with one half the size. Didn't make much sense

They weren't checking pockets at all. Just a metal detector wand they wave around you. Just use anything plastic and you will be golden

Could Roby be a viable fill in as our deep guy? He is fast enough (I believe his 40 out of college was 4.34) and knows the system. The injury to Morgan may just give him the opportunity to shine as our deep guy.
